No trams from RV Depot

I'm able to build the Tram track but when I try to build a new RV from the "Tram RV Depot" its not showing any trams.

Any suggestions on this?

Yes. Wait for a tram set to be finished and install it.

I can't get tram tracks to work. I'm using the latest alpha and have trams turned on. I also have tramtrkw.grf installed in the right place.
When I load my savegame, the build roads icon does nothing, and in the ingame grf options, the box by trams is blue and won't change if I click on it (should be red for disabled then green when I click on it).

What am I missing?

No, it should be blue. Because it's not a normal GRF; it's a controlled by a patch feature.

Try a brand new game (seriously).

town/tram bug

When the town increases size it sometimes adds tramlines instead of roads. Is this a conflict between the two?

I've made some test games and found such a problem with trams - towns and AI players build tram routes instead of normal roads as a part of a route and use buses as trams. See the attach.
You can see:
1) towns expand with trams roads as with standard roads
2) AI builds tram routes and depots
3) it builds (I can do it too) normal vehicles in tram depots (that should not be allowed)

Have you tried the very latest alpha (a69 pre 1)? It fixes quite a few tram bugs. I think I had the same problem that you're having when I was using a68, but in a69 pre 1 everything seems to work.

-If you have the tram toolbar selected, the AI will also start trying to build trams when they want to build roads. (this has been fixed, but you'll need to wait for P2)

-As for the towns expanding with roads... i'm trying to work on a fix.

That fixed it. It also fixed the problems I was having with buses not stopping at bus stops. :D

Hi,

I just cannot get my trams work. I have the new graphics, the pre-release of a69, and still nothing. I guess there are some switches I should've turned on/off, right? So can somebody please tell me what should be on/off? Thanks.

Oh, thanks. That solved it.
Trams will be cool once there's gonna be a tramset :)

Are you running a69p1?
It's a known bug in a68 that buses nor trams can get into the drive-thru bus stops.

got a couple of bugs/glitches for ya...

First:
If you first build a road (not tram) depot, build tram tracks in front of/near this, and then connect the two and put tramtracks over the road depot: you get +4 something BILLION dollars, and then this shows up positive under the "construction"-part in the finances overview, but shows up negative in the "Total". (scr10).

Second bug:
When using Raichases Victorian Trams, there seem to be a problem with the ID's. The 1989 Leyland Olympic and the Volvo 5000 are both replaced with the W2-Class Tram. Since I am infact using the Leyland, my busses got replaced with trams. The trams work well on the tracks, but get rather confused when they try to travel on a road. (scr7,scr8)
Mind you these were introduced in year 2000, not from a new game.

Third:
When pressing "Company Color" in either new or old game, I get a crash. (don't know wether or not it has anything do to with trams)

All necessary files have been zipped (crashlog, configs, screenshots, savegames (trp07 -> trambug, trp08 -> depotbug).
TTDPatch v 2.0.1 - 69a.

Same here. Sorry, I don't have time to post the crashlog.

Same here, I have posted 2 crashlogs in the alpha discussion thread.
