*Two years later...*
So I was digging through the forum trying to find some decent looking sprites to practise my coding, and came across this thread. Liked the look of the old warehouse, so I gave it a go and voila! I haven't done anything too adventurous with it; it's got all the same properties as the standard temperate warehouse, only this one is available between 1935 and 1983, and in arctic climate as well as temperate.

Having read some of the comments above I tried it out with the Japan set graphics, and it certainly doesn't look out of place...

The download also includes an untested dos version.

Since there has been a small interest, I decided to create an early year's version of the warehouse for people's opinions on improvement. Also, I've been tinkering with altering my earlier version of the posted warehouse.

Please consider making it darker. It is very bright.

Is the scale a little too small? It seems so to me. Agreed, it is too bright. Otherwise, though, it shows excellent promise, and in fact would look at home in the Japan set.

A darker, larger version of the early year's warehouse...

Both of them have an industrial look to me. Maybe you could make a station grf with them? (like industrial stations renewal, to decorate your industrial stations)

Very typical of the era for that type of building ... dark red brick or dark red paint on wood.
Well done.

I raised my first warehouse a bit while adding a (subtle) security fence. Either the pallet lacks colors or my imagination is running dry, but the more I altered the parking lot to avoid one big black splotch, the worse it got. If there is a chronological order, then the early year's warehouse would be first with a small collection of food, goods, and mail. This posted version would be next with a larger supply of food, goods, and mail. I might tinker with a more modern version.
Back to practicing...

It looks more like a small, rather drab house, or possibly flats, than a warehouse.
