Oops, sorry, this is the sort of message I'd post to those other
newsgroups, not a friendly one like agmtt, I take it back, sorry, it's
late and I wasn't concentrating, my god ate it.
Actually, you're wrong... since ALL the work would include finding a server,
writing the HTML, finding a counter, etc...

And no, I don't mind that much... since it really wasn't continuis with what I
posted... but that's okay.

I've changed my mind for some unknown and bizarre reason, take what you
like
from the site....except the screenshots. These are my personal
collection!

Even the MIDIs?
If you like.....but wait for the catch.

Link back please. And you should also list that they are from Chris Locke.

I'll have the title... can I add it to my site? Or would that confuse
people? Ok - I'll just take the sidebar then. Or maybe the background?

Oops. Now I'm being silly. Sorry.

Ahhh...the refreshing grey background on TTWorld.

You must admit, it makes a change from the dullness of the continous
greensquare background you get. At least I only have that in the sidebar.

*DONT* touch the sidebar. My wizadry with Paint, Photo Editor and Publisher
helped me create that. Alright not spectacular proggys, but I like what I've
done!

And you're also being
s...ssss...ssss...ssss...aaa...rrr....ccc..cccc...........ccccccccccccc...aa
aaaa..sss.....NO I CAN'T SAY IT :-)

But I don't know where I got them from. I went to a Tycoon website ages ago
and one was playing in the background. I emailed the "webmaster" and asked
him if I could have it and he said sure, but he only had one and didn't know
where the others were. Funny, as they were all in a directory on his
site..... bizarre.
Eddie says "they are midi's so don't sound exactly like the real ones" but
they are good enough!!!!

So yes, distribute and feel free to give away to anyone you meet, but add
that some kind soul generously donated them and took the effort to make
them....!!

Well...if no one claims within the next 5 seconds, they are
yours....4......3......2......1......0. There you are.
I like the tunes on TT. They are just as good as these ones. Have you also
noticed that on different computers, the TT songs will play differently. One
of my mates has got it, and on their computer it sounds completely
different.

Like the new site Chris. Full of 404's!

Took a guess, and was right http://www.locke.junglelink.co.ouk

Shame I was never proudly announced as the official winner of the
competition. It all seemed to just die. So many new people meant that it
became insignificant.
Perhaps I should add it to my sig?

Thats cos MIDI is played differently on different cards.
Hang on - thats what you just said.

Well, what I mean is, a .WAV file is fixed and plays the same on anything.
A .MID file has to be created on the fly, and is therefore based on the
soundcard....

I've an AWE32, and it sounds damn sexy - play it on normal MIDI and its
awful!!!!!! (just like my spelling.... and jokes!)

Oh gosh, that takes me back to when I upgraded from an SB16 to
the AWE32 that is still doing sterling service in our current
machine. I couldn't get over the difference between the old FM
synthesiser and the wave table one.

I linked my daughter's keyboard (a Casio CTK-601) up to the
computer a few month's back, and had fun both playing midi's back
on the keyboard's synthesiser, and using the keyboard to drive
the soundblaster one.

I have to say the AWE32 won hands down though, which was a bit
embarrassing.

Try OPL2.
Do you mean The Yamaha OPL2-SAx?
Thats the one I have.
But the point is that the same card can provide two different sdound
standards, depending on the program.

Yup

General Midi is what I play the game with
OPL3? never heard of it.
AWE-32 just hangs......Probably because its a bad clone.
At least, this is what I remember was the music settings from TTDLX...
Not sure I havent tried to reinstall it in about a year.
