In light of this. Is there a semi-official NG FAQ?
If not It would probably be a good idea to create one.

b) Who wants to be bogged down with needless bureaucracy

Oh BTW Who(If anybody) is the moderator/boss here? Or is it self kept?
And if you *DO* have a set of rules it would be a good idea to attach
them
to the site.

I think I've been subscribed to this NG for about 2 months now, and I
haven't got bored yet,

No, but the up-and-coming ng-users' TT website should act as that.

Sounds good to me. People can write articles on various elements of TT/D
and submit them to the webmaster (who is..?). I might do a introductory
piece on two-way signalling, double and four-tracking. Perhaps junctions
in confined spaces too.

Bureaucracy? I just thought it would be easier to point any new people in
the same direction to a single file that will quite possibly answer a few
questions in one go.

There is no one site, you just ask your ISP to attach itself into the

I know what you mean. I used to be in Alt.games.Command and conquer but it
got a bit silly with the flame wars that were going on with
alt.games.starcraft and all because of one pittiful little troll. shame

My first NG was alt.books.pratchett, but you have to stay straight on
subject, no deviating is allowed. The correct tags are also crucial.

And I cannot possibly keep up with 2000 posts a day. No way. This is ideal.

Yep much more laid back but if someone comes up with something worthwhile
then the NG doubles in size!

is freeservers? Do they let you upload via ftp? Tripod might be better,
