I guess if I really want to play it like TTD i'll just switch back to loco or openttd. I like the idea of passengers and freight wanting to get delivered to certain cities/industries I just never saw it working in any game. But I will certainly give it a shot because like I said before the idea sounds interesting. We'll see :)

Is there a vehicle list for Simutrans available? Since I last played, the game's been changed to only offer the appropriate vehicles for the year, which is kinda annoying. And that's even before the two construction noises (the jackhammer and 'gavel') which will drive you absolutely insane.

Otherwise, the game is miles ahead of Locomotion in so many respects - Day/night cycle, private cars and even pedestrians, the whole passenger routing thing, factories can get higher production if you connect them to power plants... even tracks with different speed limits.

You can turn that filter off. There is a switch in simuconf.tab ... look here:

Once the timeline is switched off, you'll see all vehicles in the depots. I don't really have a list, so that's all help I can give you. The 64x64 pixel object set doesn't have that many different vehicles, but the 128x128 pixel object set has really lots and is still growing strongly.

Hehe, I don't have a soundcard, so I have no idea how's it like for other people. You can:

1) Turn of sound by -nosound command line switch
2) Reduce sound volume
3) Replace the sound files with better ones
4) Change some of the sounds by editing sound.tab (basically same effect as (3))
Otherwise, the game is miles ahead of Locomotion in so many respects - Day/night cycle, private cars and even pedestrians, the whole passenger routing thing... even tracks with different speed limits.
:)

To be honest, this feature we've started but it is far from completion. So to be fair, we should rather say it's not yet working.
