We need the same mechanism, which has been used in Transport Tycoon. We need a PATCH.

Woooo, woooo! The ghost of the thread returns, brought back by Breorn's NECROMANCY!!!

There will never be a patch. Atari doesn't care, there's no money for them in making a patch for a forgotten, ancient game like this. Chris Sawyer doesn't care, as illustrated by the recently released Shinkansen which is the latest in a long list of evidence that the game wasn't finished when he released it.

Meh.

Meh.
I think patch like TTDPatch. Not official.

We need:

-DEPOTS! No breakdowns mods can be classified as cheating and i hate cheating.
-Enhanced Pre-signals. TTD Patch pre-signals mechanism is much better.
-Path based signalling. Nothing can beat that.
-Improved pathfinding. Road vehicles and ships are stupid! My microwave oven is much more clever.
-Improved AI of competitors. Their elevated tracks with so much curves makes me a sea sick. It looks like rollercoaster, not railroad.
-Bigger maps. Maybe 4 times bigger can be enough.
-Better building underground mode. If I'm underground, why can I demolish objects on the ground? And why I can not see through the roads and tracks?
-Selectable vehicle reversing time. They block each other.
-Selectable level for objects to be build with holding SHIFT. Like in RCT 2.
-Road vehicles can be destroyed by train, when they are on level crosing. TTD feature.
-Competitors can be purchased.
-Disasters.

Negative. Patching the game like that involves haxx0ring the .exe, and that's against the EULA, and everyone here bricks it at the thought of Atari's lawyers.

Never going to happen. Just stick with TTDPatch.

If this is illegal, then all trainers are illegal too.

Do you want to know what traniers do?

Wow another return of a return of a ghost thread.

Sure tell us what they do.

Yes, go on, if you insist on dredging up a thread that's approaching two years old, tell us all about 'traniers' and how they work.

i´m not sure what a tranier does, but a trainer goes straight to your RAM and does change values there. or freeze them by steadily writing the same value in the same address.

but ok, tell us. atleast i´m listening.
