The trams on monorail tracks are outdated. Upgrade to the newest alpha version and you can enjoy real trams.

[...] outdated.
Hehe.
The problem with .grfs is that once unleashed they´ll get out of control and make trouble forevermore.
IMO, a date of expiry for .grfs would be a good thing.

This happens to *some* non-track tile stations as well as stations on platforms. I'll muck around further to see which ones do it, but it *seems* like Nottingham onwards.
I've seen this too. I think only when I use the Amtrak (or Silverline?) station...it's the yellow edged one IIRC...I've not seen it recently as I haven't been using those stations. When it did occur, I redrew the stations (laying new stations over the original ones) and that corrected the problem for a while.
I'll try in my current game to see if I can get it to appear.

Actually you can add expire dates into grfs, simple test if the TTDPatch version is to high and create an error

[expiration data for .grfs]

I know. Question remains if authors of "problematic" .grfs would do so.
We could, however, increase the version number in action8 for Beta, should we? This way, we´d get rid of a lot of outdated stuff. Oh well, ...

Looking at the wiki (Callbacks page), I think that's intended, but I'm not sure if raising minver to 07 is planned, or even a good idea.
There has been discussion of adding a blacklist of GRF files (list of MD5-sums, probably) to TTDPatch, and have it refuse to load any blacklisted files, but that hasn't happened yet.

What I will probably do to address this is generate a "GRM conflict" warning message for vehicle sets that don't use GRM but try to modify GRM-registered vehicles. There will be a way for the user to override this, but then the grf will have a warning about this.
This will not help with the incompatibility between two sets where neither uses GRM, but I believe all major sets use GRM now.
Another possibility would be to make GRM mandatory for vehicle sets. While easily possible, I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

well, i'm experimenting with settings, yes. but i don't have any of George's Cargoes in my grfs, no. i dó have Paper in temperate grfs though, those might cause the problem.

asthat, those breweries in the left side of the screenshot are from Pikkabird's new industries. They might be causing the conflict with MB's ones

ah, that explains it all, thanks. i'll remove PikkaBird's grf from the game, that'll fix it. if it won't, i'll post about it.

One thing about your site that kept me visiting it was the puzzles, there was something to do while waiting for a next release or waiting for news..
Now i've gone over all the puzzles quite many times, are you going to make any new ones in the future?

Would the next release of the DBset - which is wonderful: both graphics and the extras of the set are just great! - be based on the 'old newcargoes' or the new extended cargo scheme?

ECS plus traditional goods. However, there will be slight changes in the cargoes, i.e. "beer" from NewCargoes would become a subset of ECS "food".

That's not actually one of DB's locomotives on the picture

The DB-version of this type is already in the DB-set.
