OK, I think I have enough testers already ;-)

Welcome guys.
Please contribute your suggestions in this topic.

CSDcargost is using parameters, with this results:
-1: Vagons ONLY in livery mode 1 (BROWN/red),(GREEN/blue)
-2: Vagons ONLY in livery mode 2 (brown/RED),(green,BLUE)
-4: Random livery for whole train
-8: Random livery for each vagon separately

And please note that Pedro_Zawislak doesn't speak english, therefor I'll try to translate his posts. (I'd prefer to edit, but I dont have moderator's rights)

IS ANYBODY INTERESTED IN CSDcargoset DEVELOPMENT?

I need somebody, who would have the skill to the round wagons: numbers 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 - I just can't do these. If anybody's interested, I'd supply more resources.

I think I can do 25, 26 and 27 only

I have gone halfway thru with 26, but I don't know how to finish it - I just can't do the diagonals. And If you could do the 27, it would be great, but please, use the same platform as 26.
Thanks

Could you take my version of car No.1 (class Lp, reefer) and make a revison? Shading, etc.. + try to add brakeman's cabin to diagonal views, I just can't do that. Thanks very much.

Polish set? Can you give me a link? Is it for TTD, TTDpatch or OpenTTD?

The way this is in the TTDPatch category and that TTDPatch is (currently) the olny version that you can make train sets for, I'd guess TTDPatch.

It's not finished yet.

thanks colonel32, i'll get right to it... have you tried drawing the brake thingy seperate an then drag it onto the wagon, it makes it so so much easier that way.

actually, I heve, but I just can't do diagonals as well as straights - you can tell from the image in my signature

btw: you might want to add a link to australian set into yours

HMMM... good idea about the australian set link, but i think i'll wait to see just what's going on with it first, anyway here's that LP you wanted, this is the best i could get without it looking ridiculous.

you see - I had a reason to say I can't do these. They just look ridiculous all the time ;-) But thanks for the help, I think we can take these.

I just recoded the CSDset for DOS, and wanted to see all the vehicles at once, so I opened the PCX file.
I found myself in a state I don't like, namely "confused", and looking at the NFO didn't help. Accordingly:

@CSDset coder: It looks like you declared a seperate purchase-list sprite for every vehicle. That is not necessary unless the west-bound sprite is not acceptable as a purchase list entry, and is a waste of TTDPatch sprite-space if the purchase list entry and the west-bound sprite are the same.
To encode DOS grfs from a Win PCX, use one of

Code: Select all

> grfcodec -em 1 filename.grf
> grfcodec -e -m 1 filename.grf
Both are functionally identical. I prefer the first because it's less typing.

well, from what I have observed, the purchase-list sprites are sometimes different than westbound ones, but from what I have heard, you cannot place the sprite differently in game and purchase list (positioning), and if you have the sprite looking good in game, it might be misplaced in the purchase list. I had the same problem when coding CSDcargoset graphics.

You can actually use a completely different sprite in the purchase list, from what you use in the game. We did this with the Zeppelins in the Planeset.
