By the way, what is SVN? SVN == CVS?
Since you didn't login at the time you wrote it, you can't delete it. It will be delete eventually.

SVN is an advanced CVS

See? I'll just have to wait. No point downloading it if it's not compatible with my savegames! And certainly no point in starting a new game!
OpenTTD now has canals. Expect them to be in the next release. I guess this completes your list :)

BobXP wrote:BTW - Is it possible to change somewhere in the source code the specs of trains, production of industries, etc? Like TTDAlter?
Yes, it's possible to change every aspect of the vehicle specs by modifying the source code. Some external way of customizing vehicles will likely be available in the future.

Anyway, you guys are really doing a great job. Keep up the good work :)

Hmmm. How hard would it be to implement those new overhead wires that span multiple tracks?

One thing i'd really think are important:
A really large, extremly huge, extra-ordinare big map...

Why?
Well, sometime you can have a cnetral station handle several goodstypes, and maybe even several "pre-stations" to dump of resources form many places to reduce the load on the cnetral station; and i've had some of these station-complexes take up twice the size of the city they are adjecant to.

anyone else ran into this obstacle?

dual track... at least as wide as a road with one lane for each direction...
i think that is really important!!!

and possibility for street cars and trams... :)

and what about subway station?????? :))) and tram-train??? and subway-train :)))))))

one word... multi-modal :))))))))))))))))))

Problem with dual track in one square is how you would fit the existing diagonal track onto it to join it up with single track, or with other double track.. You're basically asking for a whole new set of track. I think double track the way we do it now is fine, although perhaps something could be done graphically to 'bind' two tracks together - for example, electric rails sharing the same supports for both tracks, both tracks going over one bridge.

actually I believe it is not that comlicated... I say this because,... as it is, in diagonal tracks, there are tiles with two tracks.. right? so... actually it should only mean to make it at non diagonal tracks... an a sort of transition from straight to diagonal track... and the diagonal tracks could stay as they are at ttdx... two tracks alternatingly ocupiyng one tile then two tiles... se waht I mean?

you should try drawing it out, you'll notice that it won't work =]

And... Roads are double track :)

that's it.. You are following my train ;) of thought excatly.
Of course i am not familiar with the actula programing work of the patch... but as a simple observer... it seems, enfasis onn 'seems' that everything is already there to make it.

And let's face it... it is totally unfair that roads take half the space of a dual track, not to mention very unrealistic...

.. but for now i will drop the issue and let the great minds think about this.
