to awnser a few questions:
Royal Hudson + MU-wagon: bug.
Steam + Diesel on Metro: Not possible without NewTracks or whatever that patch is gonna be called
As i've saied before, the version 2.0 of this set is in the pipeline. Most engines, MUs and metros are added, but no wagons, and it is in a dev-state, so new versions (nightlies) may not be backward compatible with itself, and 2.0 wont be with 1.0, but it will be virtually bugfree, better balanced, better aligned and all in all a better set.

Apart from being technically impossible at the moment, I don't think you want Steam and Diesel trains on an supposedly underground city network. You really don't want to be standing at a platform in a tunnel tube while a Steam train is producing lots of smoke. There's a reason metros all are electrified
Gameplay wise I think this would be an undesirable thing too. If you'd be able to run normal trains on metro tracks, that make the metro tracks less special and would take away its unique abilities. Metro tracks currently are designed in a way they're an effective transport method in heavy crowded towns, with fast loading and capacity, a high acceleration but low top speed, designed for short-distance commuter traffic. Firstly, you don't want slow accelerating Steam trains on your effecient metro network. Secondly, when everyone would build metro tracks for long distance travel that'd make no sense either.
Summarized, I think metros are fine as they are.

I added your MU the other day, and i were looking over it today, and i find the four last sprites of the panto wagon to be wrong compared to the other ones... Wanna fix that?

You mean because the panto / machine coach looks different from one side to the other? See, that's the thing. It really does

There's a passway on one side for the passengers, the other side is just exhausts for the transformer and other tech stuff...

Why steam trains in underground lines is big problem? They had steam trains running in the London Underground at the 1860's. They had just lots of vents to road level and specially desinged locomotives:

I just wanted to inform you all that we are getting closer and closer and closer to a 2.0 release...
_most_ stuff is now done. There are a few engines left, mainly steam engines, plus non-pax-wagons. All MU's, pax engines, and metros are now IN!

Glad to see work is still going on! I was wondering - in real life, why aren't there diesel metro trains? I understand the problem with steam, but not with diesel.
Also metro tracks phail when used with OpenGFX

You fail, idk what you did, but Metro Tracks work in OpenGFX, you could have accidentally downloaded the wrong one or have the pallet wrong

How do you change the pallet? Is it possible that other GRFs (like TTRS) may have corrupted it?
Also when there is an 'Optional B-Unit' available, how do I get it? Thanks.

Go to NewGRF Settings -> Click on GRF -> Toggle Pallete
