EDIT: what to do to have TRS listed in the grf index?
Go to the second post in the thread for the suggested format, copy and paste it into a PM addressed to yours truly, edit it to your satisfaction and send it off. I'll have it up within 24 hours ... usually less. :D
Thank you for your interest in our service.

Note that the offer includes unlimited updates and 24 hour PM support, God willing.

A quick question - which rendering of 9E you prefer.

The upper one is the old, rooting at the original tropicset. The lower one is the new remix of the old - now with full 2cc support.

2cc all the way! not only that but the new version looks more detailed, with different colors in the roof. The old one looks somehow too simple, as if it was a toy

The under wins!

BTW, I love your set for the Tropic climate! The engines are perfect for long hauls through the plains! *and I simply adore Indian electric engines :P

Another vote for the 2cc version here. 8)

One caveat (ie, another whinge from me ;) ) : IIRC many of the electrics use the 2nd CC for their ... um ... pantographs (is that the term I mean? - the thingameebob that reaches up from the roof to the catenary lines) and in some cases it is difficult to discern the details of the pantographs against the (preset) roof colour unless using a very strong 2nd CC colour (like red). In those cases where the roof is a preset colour, would you consider also redoing the pantographs as a contrasting preset colour and using the 2nd CC for other detailing?

It's a small thing, but some of the electrics are hard to find effective 2nd CCs for (like that later Indian 87mph express with the brownish roof - the name of which also escapes me at the moment ... WAG-4, WAP-4? Something like that).

Topic digging, I know, but I'm wondering about how development is coming with the future locos? I'm not asking/requesting anything - though I'd love to see this set complete. Rather, I'm just letting you know there is still interest in seeing this through. :D

ah yes, a brilliant set. in combination with the upcoming tropic station set this could seriously renew my interest in the tropic climate. i like the 2cc as well, hadn't seen it yet.

Futuristic locos are long drawn, but Pikka seems busy, so he hasn coded them yet.

I must say I like this set. Playing tropic climate is a very different feeling. I am looking forward to see some trucks and roadtrains available!

Keep on with your good work!

attending my Master Topic Digger™ title, the following:

i'm just started a new game (in OTTD-MiniIN) with this set, and although i'm highly impressed, it feels like there could be some more trains in it. and those articulated rv's, how's that coming along?

Well - until Pikka codes the futuristic locos, there is no point to add stuff really.

another question (not a Shameless Bump™, honestly! ), is why there are little to no DMU's and EMU's in the set. there just aren't any in the tropical areas?

also, there's few variations in the carriages and freight cars. will there be any in the next release?

TBH, I don't have much time for this set at the moment; others are interesting me more, and I'll be back at uni in a couple of weeks so I won't have much time then anyway.

Does anyone wants to take over the coding of this set?

I love that set! It's really great. But either I'm too stupid, or the running costs are a bit too high. I have to set the game to easy to use this set properly.
