Have you actually checked that the entry in your newgrf.cfg matches the filename of the grf-file?

The set is named newcargow.grf (Windows Version) or newcargo.grf (DOS), so you have to put the correct filename into the newgrf.cfg file.

I have check the name in the newgrf.cfg

What is the *exact* error message? Those three numbers at the end may be incomprehensible to you, but they are very important for tracking down the problem.

So, I´d say, the decision is by you. I don´t know how many savegames would be out there which used Oskars temperate paper, of which Csabas implementation should be compatible.
Move food. There are lots of saves with paper.

Hi all,

I´ve uploaded version 0.1 of the NewCargo Set which fixes a couple of bugs:

- fixed bug w. small block of flats changing to cottages,
- fixed version number displayed in error message,
- fixed cargo text for beer (english only),
- changed cargo-ID for food from 0B to 0C,
- changed cargo-ID for fish from 0C to 0E.

Unfortunately, I´ve had to change the cargo-ID for food which conflicted w. paper in temperate and in turn also the c-ID for fish had to be changed.

I´m sorry for any inconveniences with games saved so far.

regards
Michael

Hey! I've asked to reserved IDs 0D,0E,0F in the Csaba's topic! We get a conflict! Fortunately I didn't realize my set yet, so, it can be changed.
Please, list all the used IDs! We do not need IDs conflicts!

the numbers are

eeeh, a minor thing... i can't get ANY place to build my brewery, in my existing game. when creating a new scenario it's not that much problem, but those exact (alike) locations that work in the new scenario won't work in my current game. i'll post a screenshot later on.

Czar, I believe I said "exact error message". There are no error messages with only two numbers.

in valide sprite # 15 9/4

Mmh. That´s weird. There´s neither an action 1 nor action 2 sprite that low.
Could you give more information on what you´re trying to do?

- newgrf.cfg
- ttdpatch.cfg
- screenshot
- ...

I can't reproduce (nor explain) Alex's problem, but
michael blunck wrote:Unfortunately, I´ve had to change the cargo-ID for food which conflicted w. paper in temperate
this change is not in evidence; paper mills still produce food, and printing works still accept food.

Your site claims "last update on 29-jul-2005", but the file in the zip is newcargow.grf, size 23980, modification date: 2005/Jul/27 14:03:16, and it claims to be "NewCargo Set V0.0 27.07.05". The donotreadme also says "v0.0".

That´s even more weird. I´ve just checked it and for me it seems to be OK. Nevertheless I´ve uploaded both files anew. I don´t think I can do any more ATM.

Have you tried starting a new game? Industry data isn't refreshed for industries already on map, so they may "remember" the wrong cargo type. Your other possiblity is using "Cht: ReloadIndustries" to re-initialize all industries on the map.

Dale is officially confused. This computer is quite insistant that you are serving up v0.0, even after one of my other computers successfully acquired v0.1.

And yes Csaba, it was a new game.

DaleStan: That's probably your computer (or ISP) caching the old version.

I had a similar problem getting an updated GRDtoGRF once.

Theirs a "Cht: ReloadIndustries" now? WOO! Now I can fix that scenario I was working on that I converted from Temperate climate!

/me dances around

Oh, and absolutly amazing work Michael, you never cease to amaze me (But Newstations 0.5 would amaze me even more *nudge nudge* *wink wink*).

Keep up the excellent work!

Edit: Damn, that didnt work. Still got the wrong stats for industries...
