Dear Friends;

I'm still waiting for the 'computer man' to retrieve my old
program and folders, which TTD is included. The problem
is that the hard drive in the computer that I had in Israel,
got damaged in route here and now a specialist has to get
them off that hard drive, (NO guarantees. Ugh!) So, maybe
all the scenario stuff I was working on, may be lost. I brought
that whole computer tower with me on the plane just so it
would be safe, and still this. :evil:

Anyway, if I have to start all over, so be it, I guess. Just
keeping those who might be interested, updated. :wink:
(Mr. Raichase, just left your fine screenpage, still looking
good, my friend!)

Always,
Jim Powers

Such a shame to hear about that calamity Jim! :( I do hope that the 'computer man' retrieves the files from your hard drive so that you don't have to start again. But even if you do, I know that the scenarios you produce will still be wonderful. :)

Best of luck with it all Jim - I am certainly lad you upload them to the forums as soon as they are completed, means you lose less should your HDD be unrecoverable. The number of scenarios I've lost over the years because I've not posted them...

Good luck with it - I hate computers!

We all hate computers at some point.

I am slightly worried about taking my laptop on a plane next time I travel to Norway. Bag might be too big.

Hope all gets fixed Jim.
I miss some of my age-old Transport Tycoon games. no idea where they are now actually.

How has the move been in general Jim? Enjoying where you are now? :wink:

Speak soon my friend.

Mr. Geo.c Ghost;

Hey, glad to hear from you, old Buddy. We're doing OK, I guess. Some things aren't
the way they were told us, in Israel, but, if we can dodge Hurricanes for a couple of
months, we'll be alright. I just miss playing TTD. I was supposed to get my computer
with TTD on it this week but the man couldn't get to Miami, so, it'll be another week.

I, personaly wouldn't worry too much about your laptop. Everybody's taking theirs. I'm
happy enough with mine, but, NOT Vista, it sucks period! Oh well time marches on.
Soon I'll be up & running. :wink:

Always,
Jim Powers

Heh. Any other vista I have used has annoyed me, but this machine with Vista Ultimate I've found no problems so far. Runs everything I put on it - Even some old games which i find pretty odd.
If there's anything that doesn't work on yours, could try what I have done and it might work :wink:

Might try putting TTDp on it, but the time it took to set up on my PC I'm not sure if i have the patience to do it again.

See ya later mate :wink:
Best Regards,

Hey Jim

Long time no speak my friend, sorry to hear about your problems moving, its always a bummer when little things like that creep up. But i hope the rest of the move goes ok. Id just like to say ive finally got TTD working on my pc again and the first thing i thought of when i started it up was, i need to get my hands on Jims superb scenarios again, so ive got myself armed with both your fantastic England and Italy maps and im gunna go waste away the hours, I may even manage to get some screens up here soon.

Thanks again friend for all the hard work you have put into these

To my TTD Friends;

I haven't forgot you all, but, things have not been as well as it
was supposed to be here, so, my time is very limited and I haven't
had time enough to get TTD running with Window's Vista. Maybe,
when Windows 7 comes out I can have better luck and time also to
continue to make more scenarios, which I greatly miss doing. I hope
some of you are still playing my 50+ other scenarios. God bless. :wink:

Always,
Jim Powers

Finally, 'the man' is back! Yippee! Although most of your scenarios aren't compatible with my system and OTTD, I've always admired the way you were able to spend so much time on each scenario. Glad to hear that you're still around.

Dear TTD Friends;

First of all, I apologize for not replying to those who have
written me. Namely, Mr. Two5Kid, Mr. Maverick, and Mr.ISA .
Now, 2nd, My wife and I have moved from Key West, Florida. Key West was
just too expensive to live there. So, we got smart and moved to Tucson,
Arizona.
We've been here less than two weeks. And, it's much cheaper
and a whole better place to live. Surprisingly, it's cooler here too. It's usually
less than 20% humidity here, compared to about 85% average there. Now,
hopefully, I'll have more time to try to set up TTD on my computer.

Mr. ISA, you wrote "I did buy new computer/laptop week ago

That sounds great. I'm going to try it again.

Mr. Maverick, Thanks for remembering this ol' man. I'll be making some more
scenarios as soon as I've installed TTD

Mr. Two5Kid, I haven't crossed OTTD off just yet, maybe? In fact,
it seems that there's quite an interest in it. We'll see. Also, thanks for your kind
compliments, Sir.

Also thanks for all who've downloaded my scenarios and appreciate them, because,
I appreciate Mr. Owen Rudge and all those who make this website possible and it's many,
many members. :wink:

Always,
Jim Powers

You do so! And if the problem still there give me a call by PM and maybe I can provide my TTD installation files in .rar to You! Maybe there is a problem in Your setup files?

Mr. Matthew57778;

Thanks for remembering me. I certainly haven't forgot the good ol' days
when I was making scenarios for TTD. Now, that Bill Gates has released "Windows 7",
as soon as I can afford to change from this "Vista" mistake which I now have, hopefully
I can then get back to making more scenarios. I used a program on "Win XP" which helped
me set up the approximate direction for my scenarios to be so that they were more realistic.
I never could use that program on Vista. That's one of the main reasons for me not doing
any more scenarios. I certainly didn't get tired of doing them, but, they had to be right.

Now, to answer your question " did u servive the hurricane in florida"

The wife and I moved from Florida to Tucson, Arizona. (WE really like the weather.) So,
of course, we weren't in a hurricane. BTW Arizona has no natural disasters. Which is just
fine with me.

Mr. ISA, I really do thank you for your offer to help me with TTD under Vista. And I'm
very sorry I haven't got back to you before now. :wink:

Always,
Jim Powers
