Crazy i got a nice job for you, plz upload ALL images @ SAME SCALE
some train cars are smaller weels/wheelbase then others, so plz get 1 scale and put all trains up there for me:)

Yeah, I made the wheels too small on some, and I need to re-render most of the old ones, as they are not rendered in the correct light setup. And I need to do some more work on the old textures. It will take some time though, and wont happend very soon.

DeathByCake: yep...if theres multiple doors on that, then it could be suited to all planes. Alternativlty it could go the other way up, if it came froma high building.

I am very confused about scales, so I tried to put together two images of how I think it is supposed to be ..... right or wrong?
My main concerns are: what is the maximum zoom-in level (matters for how details must be modelled) how big's a square and how do things fit together.

I think this is supposed to be the maximum zoom level.
And that is the old track, now you will be able to fit two pieces of track on each tile.

so all the buildings in the wiki are rendered only at half resolution? that would mean we would have to go back and add details and make sure all of them also look good at double size... is this so?

No, I don't think you have to do that. Your church, for example, is rendered correctly. Most 1*1 houses will fit quite nicely on a 12,5*12,5 tile.
I also think some of the houses you see on the wiki was made when a tile was 25*25 meters.

but the church was modelled 25x25m .. if you put it on a 12,5 square it wil be off scale

I see. As it is a 1*1 building, I though each side was 12.5 meters.

SO ... there's another mockup with Ottis in it for size comparison. A square is 12,5m here.
further it seems this is not the deepest zoom level, but you can zoom in to twice the size.
IF correct, then the graphics for the buildings need be rendered at double size, and probably further details added so thath they look good at the new resolution.....
IF Wrong, then why?

From the wiki:
These GFX are designed for 64, 128, and 256 pixel wide game modes (1x,2x, and 4x the current game zoom level)
I personally don't see any need to go beyond the zoom level in Aracirions mock-up. It looks good. How many px per tile is it?
