Terms of usage? Only the authors may upload their stuff.

I'm not sure that the original author of the industrial stations is even on here anymore. That's the problem with that sort of term-of-usage, people come and go over the years and stuff gets orphaned if you don't plan ahead. That's why it's a good idea for sets to be GPL'ed. I think ISR is but I'm not sure.

Yes, it is GPL, but still I am not allowed to upload those versions myself. One of the authors should upload the versions I mentioned. Else, maybe one of the authors could leave here a message so the openttd.org teams sees, we could upload the old versions....

One of the authors would be: Sanchimaru, Oz, norfolksouthern37, Zimmlock, Ben_K, Born Acorn, mph, Arte Pro 34, Maedhros, mart3p, Oracle

Alas, of those the only one I've seen in the last year is Sanchimaru, and him not in many months. You could send him a PM for what it's worth, I'm sure he would be perfectly agreeable to you uploading the files.

Are those pre-GPL versions? Otherwise if they *are* GPL, I'm thinking you *can* distribute them and be GPL compliant. But maybe not Bananas terms-of-use compliant? Just thinking out loud here...

The #openttdcoop legacy pack contains at least another older versions of the GRF. I don't know the licenses of the really old versions, though. But having them on bananas would solve the old savegame issue easier than a whole legacy grf pack. And yes, it's mostly the terms of usage which disallow anyone but the authors to upload old newgrf, even if they're under a free license.

Perhaps you should point out this problem to the bananas people and they can change their terms of use?

Anyway, who is the "author" of a TTD set? As pointed out above, there are like ten authors.

You assume that they didn't do it that way deliberately.

"Anyone who has contributed graphics or code" seems like a reasonable assumption. The TOS is here, if you want to read it.

It is quite simple, we just need one of them, if the current coder (mart3p) isn't around, someone else on the list could do it.

It wouldn't hurt at all, as the versions you would upload to bananas aren't avaialbe without a matching save, so you don't need to fear, someone could play a game with old (maybe buggy) grf version.

The issue for us is, we would like to remove ISR from our pack, but we can't if the old incompatible versions aren't available for people interested in a archive game.

The same issue we have with NARS (version 1) and GRVTS, but I thought, I start here. ;-)

The trouble is, as far as I know, there aren't ANY of them around.

Is it possible to add road corners? And make roads real roads - available for RV?

The second one is not possible. But corners will be good indeed. Now T-crossings are created and I have to fill the loose end with something...

The issue I'm always having is on hills - other road GRFs, and even the standard roads don't really fit in well.
I had once considered the idea of having a tile that looks like it's going uphill, to be placed in such areas, but I didn't seem easy to do, given that the orientation of the 'track' the tile uses would have to be the opposite of the way the road goes.
That, and it always seemed to me that such a tile, placed on a slope would sit on top, on a foundation, rather than sunken down, the way I want it.

Well, that can be done by drawing a rotated and sloped version, and placed without foundation (I remember PikkaBird requesting this, probably for his TaI set).

I know - it's why I'm finally delving into the (Currently murky, to me) realm of NFO coding.
The problem remains though, that I'm not certain that if such a tile were placed, would it appear like any other station tile - on the higher level, with a foundation underneath? Or would it be on the lower level, sloping up to the level it's actually on? The latter is the preferred behaviour, of course.

Indeed, my request was for houses. Station tiles can have no foundations using their property 13.

I think I need to wrap my head around NFO a bit more clearly before I tackle this one then.
But if I understand correctly, the behaviour I'm after is possible, it just needs additional coding to tell it to do it that way.

Hey, is this project now discounted or is there new features on the way?

Well it's considered more or less 'done', so there's no work being done at the moment.

However mart3p who was coding it was thinking of things that might go in a future version. Also there were a few things I was planning to draw for it. Don't hold your breath for changes though, lots of other sets being worked on instead.

Hey there,

great work you did, so lovely !

But can I change the display of the goods somehow, that it won't depend on how much goods are at the station?

I'm always trying to get a good rating and so most of the times the stations are empty - and so there aren't any displayed goods...

Is there any way to change this? I want coal and woods sprites too, at the moment I just get empty stations without any displayed goods... :(
