If your the best on English on your class, i can't stand to think what the rest of your class is like in spelling English words.
Hmm, maybe Zetor is the only one in class. :P

I meant spelling of his words, not the whole sentence grammar.
and its spelt clearly Zetor.
and using pot to the kettle comparison is getting old, why don't you invent something new?

Ad fast busses: You can buy them because they have lower maintenance cost or higher reliability or something. But in real world there are different busses for city and for inter-city lines too.

hehe, nice. You're working Ents into the game?
But the graphics looks really nice.

Ad English: Well, it can be just typo. But as there are people from many countries here, don't be too strict about correct English

it's an expression. you use expressions because everybody else knows and uses them too.
please Akalamanaia, if we are talking about correct English, you should NOT be complaining about other people.

sorry for the OT.

nice tree! :D

Hi all;

Here's my first attempt at doing the new lighthouse. Still just a sketch, can use more dithering, as well as shadows, and animations, etc.

It's based on a style of old stone ones from the St.Lawrence area, where they still have little houses where the lighthouse-keeper lives.

Comments and criticisms, please!

Its excellent! I like it but I don´t like the door being red though. I dunno why. And also I think the light itself could do with a bit more shading.

Anyway I think this is in the wrong thread, this ones more to do with the future 3D graphics.

Alltaken: could you change the name of the thread to reflect this?

Oh, sorry! Guess I got this thread mixed up with the other 'graphics replacement' thread. So there's two graphics replacement efforts, one to replace all the graphics in the original game, and another to do a set of futuristic 3D graphics? Is that correct?

Thats OK, an easy mistake to make considering the similarity of the thread titles. Heres the link to the TTD style graphics replacement thread:

That´s right, Alltaken is organising the 3D graphics.

Great lighthouse!
I like it 100%! yeah, great!

Now just make all nearby tiles blue (transparent color on the TT palette) and change the grass, because some ppl here want to have everything under own copyright.

yeah no worries.

changed the title to reflect.

this is not really a replacement of graphics, rather a total new system.

octothorp, if you wish you can always join in making 3d models, anything is helpfull it can always be added, size and format arn't really a worry at this point.

Thanks, I might try and contribute some. Haven't really done any 3-D graphics in a couple years (ever since I moved from PC to Mac), but I might look at getting some software and doing a few 3d graphics.

yes except more realistic trees and no reflections on building (well different reflections, static ones)

but yes it will be based on that, even those buildings could be imported.

Wouldn't it be better to use 3D trains and vehicles on a 2D environment? A small 3d model wil take less space than 40 sprites... i think

And how about day/night cycle? Will it be implemented? (i wonder how will the train lights look, hope few stunning GL efects :] )
