Anything MB does is rarely a problem. :D
When MB updates his site I look for something new and this is what I found.
The post in this thread was to suggest maybe MB is about to release his next bit of work - not a problem :D
The post in the other thread was to suggest that perhaps Patchman was about to release the next alpha - also not a problem and although somewhat related, not the same question. :D

I think Patchman's post said it all ... Perhaps this will be a busy weekend. :D

DB Set XL v0.82 is out, it has some bugfixes and is enabled in the arctic for the test version of the alpine climate.

Alpine Climate test set v0.0 is out too, for now based on the arctic climate. Because this will change, don't start any long games with it, the next versions will almost surely be incompatible.

Sounds good, thanks!

Mmm, though I think I will continue my US Set game for now, as I don't want an incompatible savegame (most of my savegames get turfed by 1950 anyway, but whenever I get a good one, it's always a test game :))).

The new DB Set does look mighty tempting though :D.

My world has been suitably rocked.

I can download new things, but it doesnt say that there is anything new. it took about 2 months for it to finally come up with the new stations set on the downloads page :?

no problems here. try http://www.ttdpatch.de instead of http://www.ewetel.net/~michael.blunck/ttd/ to see if that's any help.
