We should set up a repository of blend files. Could the Wiki do?

Bio: For meshes, if you look at your database, i uploaded the meshes for the gresley a4 and the 'BR 8P 1954'
George: OK, ill try finishing off the digger thing soon (have been wasting a lot of time in other topic)...
Iowman: I didnt have many textures (cause its a max file, so would need redoing).. i just coloured it yellow and black, and then have a texture file for the windows, and sides...... Ive attached the few ive made.
For youre model, just zoom out, applie a mesh smooth and texture it and it should look cool.
Born Acorn: can it be all sorts of files?, not just .blend... like, .stl, .max etc.... The wiki would be the best place to put them i recon...as was being discussed at the top of the last page.

thx ben i forgot lolz, ill try to remodel the depot to the train size, (so its a little bigger then the train
and can someone give me dimentions on a real life depot (or engine shed)

Real life ones are are often bigger than your average Football or Rubgy pitch, often much longer. Since this is going to be an unrealistic one tile depot, we just need a faithful recreatiion of the old one.

yeah but i will need the dimentions (real or unreal) of the old one then....
i got a attempt @ home but i need to resize it anyway, so ill redo it, but this time im going to do it correct and try to shape it a bit realisticly.....

There are no dimensions. It just has to be able to fit in a tile.

The huge trains flatpacking themselves into a tiny depot is one of the games awesum features... It used to bother me so i place loads of depots infront of each other

i think that would be kinda like the monorail Depot
found some good depot looks @
http://thevista.co.uk/index.php?page=ro ... he_Railway

cool, Id love the option for a longer depot, simply for realism

that thread makes me want to help modelling, but I really got to spend my time on my school project :/

darn ben 1 problem i cant extract .RAR files, can you upload it as .blend.txt or as .zip or whatever

Get a RAR extractor. RAR is the second most used after zip, and has better compression, so odds are you need it in the end anyway.
Nearly all good Extractors support Zip and RAR anyway, you aren't using Microsofts default one or WinRAR by any chance?

I'd like 8 as for all vehicles in the ttd.

That is a lot of progress on your previous renders... If you make the top roof and front in as much detal as the windows that will be a really sweet model...Keep the progress going!
(The smaller attached image is much appreicated!!)

yeah but im looking for the correct sizes length*with*height
even if its just 2:1:1 or whatever, i do need it to get the scale of roof correct, but again, ill check it and improve it, i like this version much better then the last one:)

it sure is! You can also make some different picts of the depos, with different lenghts and withs, and post it here so we can vote on them.
