George;
I perfectly understand that ground conditions such as "flat land" and similar should be intact. I just wish for a parameter where I don't have to consider conditions such as "near water", "near towns" and the sort of when placing industries. :))
They should be disabled in SE. If they are active - there might be a bug. Please report which industries have unnecessary restrictions in SE
I'll get back to you on this one... busy drawing right now... :mrgreen:

Update 1;

Farms can't be built anywhere using the scenario editor. Restrictions if built too close to towns... As for tourist centers, none of them can be built close to each other, or even wall to wall - something which at least would be preferred when working in the Scenario Editor.

Spiced up your Food Plant a bit George by making a bit more modern, sort of up-to-date... :)) Nothing spectacular though, and it uses parts from other sets available around here, some of them a tiny bit alterred...

Edit to add 1;

Image deleted as it contains a view from a private game that includes some graphics - amongst my own work - in one way or another alterred without possibilities to find the time to recognize each specific artist properly. The image - if interested - can be requested by sending me an e-mail! :))

Edit to add 2;

An online photo album is available where screens from my private game, incl. INFRA, can be viewed. The URL is;

SAC's Album

It's really mostly "borrowed" and looks a bit too uniform, that's what I think.
--- Licenses: GNU LGPL, version 2 or newer, code and graphics. CC-By-SA, graphics, alternatively. If you're using any, I'd like to hear about it --- Call them "track types" ---
--- Mostly inactive developer for: NuTracks - Central European Train Set --- Running/compiling for: Linux (x86) - Android - Windows (32/64 bit) ---

--- Need a file packer? 7-Zip --- BOINC - use your computing power to benefit science --- Block trackers, not ads --- Unix in dispersible pellets, the formula for the future. ---

Absolutely what I think too! Could possibly give one of the buildings a different approach...

On another matter George, it seems as if there are graphics within the ECSagri.grf not being used by the game. Or am I missing something?

I like SAC's implementation, but I also like the current food processing plant, and I liked the old one as well. It would be nice if you could implement these different graphics and have them change as the years go by, having older industries remain as they are and the newer ones with more updated styles.

One thing I particularly miss from the older ECS is the old-style paper mill with the long house and the overhead crane. That style isn't represented anymore in the current version. Would be cool to see if andythenorth or somebody could draw a similar version with the current scale.

This graphics does not appear in new games. But if you would load an old savegame, where old versions of buildings are still stored on the map, you would get it in game. Only versions II of vectors have old graphics ripped off. Wood, Agricultural, Machinery vectors still have old graphics.

That can be coded, because some industries have this feature already. But for the SAC's graphics I do not have any graphics from her to code. We have only previews here on the forums, which I can't use for coding.

If someone draws I would code. But I do not plan to draw it myself. At least now.

"Borrowed" indeed. :shock:
Not to worry... it's ONLY in my game. Nowhere else... :tongue:

Ah, okey... then I get it... :))
But for the SAC's graphics I do not have any graphics...
Well, I actually don't have any ECS stuff that can be coded - apart from possibly my IKEA and the Mall, but still... not sure those would fit there anyways...

Okey, just to clarify; I haven't drawn this Food Plant myself. I've spiced up the one included in George's ECS Agriculture, by using work from the "FIRS-set" and the "DWE-set" available as .grf' - only to show a more modern plant.

My particular interference is restricted to some minor adjustments here and there, but proper credits should indeed go to the artists behind the actual work, that is; FIRS and DWE! Identify yourself... :))

And I most certainly look forward to more work from you ISA! :))

I know You didn't... As my recent work, I have used some other Authors grf to fasten things up a pit! But combining them is a work of art itself :mrgreen:
Ok back on topic! :)
Edit: DWE credits goes to Dante123!

Another "annoying" restriction in the SE is the placement of Tourists Centres. Lets say that I want to build a really big hotel complex, this isn't possible since I'm not allowed to place two similar Tourists Centres next to each other...

Reported as requested... :tongue:

I do not think there is a place for two NeuSchwanstein Castles even on 2048 x 2048 map :roll:
As for hotel complex ... Provide graphics for a hotel complex and I will code it :mrgreen:

No problem. As you wish.
Here (http://wiki.ttdpatch.net/tiki-index.php?page=ECS) you can find the description who has drawn which industry.
For example
Paper Mill Drawn by George, inspired by Paper mill by BerberJesus
Food Plant Drawn by George, inspired with brewery by some unknown Czech artist
Chemical plant Drawn by andythenorth, small fixes and snowed version by George
Farm Drawn by Oz, improved and snowed by George, Combine harvester graphics by Michael Blunck, hay graphics by FooBar

Couldn't agree more - although I was thinking more of combining two Casino Resort together... :mrgreen:

Anyways, I compiled some more agricultural alternatives as examples. Will send them to you through e-mail... :))

...which is why I have decided not to showcase any of my screens in public anymore. There will always be cases when I can't locate a specific artist behind a piece of work, and when posting screens showcasing artwork, it's also always a risk that something is displayed somewhere else in that screen that was made by someone else. And to avoid issues as just occurred here, I'll restrict my showcase preferences, and we're all happy again! :))

It was not a good Idea to update the post, because I've missed this change and found it now only by accident. It was better to make a new post. :(

Yes, farms have double check for towns. One is removed in SE and one is not. Would be fixed in the next version.

As for Tourists centres ... I never saw 2 castles nearby :lol:

Are there any other wrong restrictions?

Wiki says that vehicles have oversized cargo class, but as far as I can tell ECS vectors 1.1 (14 March 2011) do not agree. Which one is correct?

I didn't want to make a new post, only to add that little info. But sure yes, that would have been better... :))

Can't say I have either, but that Casino would work excellent with two of them side by side, corner-wise... :mrgreen:

On another note, I'll post screens and showcases, incl. that now deleted image of the Food Plant in a private album instead. The URL is; SAC's Album :))
