Hello,

I am having problems playing some of the scenarios in 1.5.3 (on Ubuntu) because of some problems with was\was.grf.

Which I installed from https://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/worldairlinersset (v 0.1) but still no luck on playing many of the scenarios. OpenTTD is saying:

was\was.grf is not installed.

Is requesting: GRF ID 57415332 with MD5 sum: 33A2003AC1FC2E15219001C660FAD58F.

I tried installing the latest nightlies of WAS, OpenTTD is saying compatible NewGRF was found but when I start the scenarios I am getting an error I believe is still because of WAS: game load failed broken savegame referencing invalid town

Any idea how to find the exact was version ?

Open the scenario, click "NewGRFs Used", click "Check Online Content" and see if it can pull it from onlien first. Otherwise, please link to the specific scenario so that somebody can take a look.

This doesnt work.

The scenarios with problems are at least 3: Iceland v1.0 (v1), Sakhalin (Russia) v1, Northern Ireland v.1 (v1.1). It could be even more.

Btw, I am on OpenTTD 1.5.3.

The Iceland scenario has a creation date of 05/12/2009, so that's a good clue as to how old this file might be.

I don't think the available nightlies go back that far anymore, so there is a good chance he won't be able to find it

Digging through the forums here, I found this post from Beardie dated March 27, 2009 that says there is a privately-distributed test NewGRF. Later on that page there is another note stating that the tracking table has been updated to r13. So I'm going to take a stab and suggest that the version we are looking for is r12.

So the page before has the tracking table for r12, however, there is no release grf between the r11 and r13 tracking tables. I'm really beginning to think it has now disappeared off the face of the interwebs

From my understanding it was never actually on the interwebs to begin with. I suspect that it was likely leaked somewhere and that was the basis for the scenario.

I just discovered that there are TWO scenarios on Bananas labeled as Iceland version 1.0, and I had already downloaded one of them, so I missed it initially. The older version from 2009 does not have any NewGRFs loaded. The other one was published by STD just recently, and it's here: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=62386&p=1167291#p1167316

In the screenshot of the NewGRF list, WAS version is titled "WAS 2016-04-14 (5948:7b20b1714aab)" So that would be nightly release 5948.

I downloaded, checked both scenario files, and this is indeed the missing file.

It still doesn't work for me but it seems this scenario was made for 1.6 and I have 1.5.3 (the version from Ubuntu repository). I'll guess this may explain the problem even if replacement NewGRF was provided.

although this grf is perfect, i think the scales of some aircraft are still not very precise. like 772 is shorter than 333 visually, it's very obvious. really hope u can fix this

Wait how do I get the latest version of the game with the 787 and Antonov 124? I downloaded ATO directly from the game. Is there anywhere else I need to download to get these planes, if so, where and how do I install it?

More info please, I got to Nightlies and pressed latest, then what do I do to make it work when I have downloaded all the files? Where am I supposed to put them?
