If a grf replaces an original sprite, the original sprite is not available.

Yes

What is displayed? Stolen trees replace original trees, so when I display default trees, the stolen trees graphics is displayed

Or I can't understand your problem

Wrong.
The default GFX is displayed. OpenTTD Nightly 12363 Win2k

For more than half a year
R-TEAM wrote:btw.-> I think George, you musst realy update the ECS wikki

1) May be it would be better to type a little slower?
2) Must? Why? It would be good to update the wiki, but also it would be good to help me to update the wiki. I shall put the main information, and someone will make it to look nice.

You may want to have a look at
#openttdcoop NewGrf Package 7-beta1, now maintained trough a versioning system (Subversion), just like OpenTTD is...

I do not see the problem. At least with ECS. The location is always the same, so you can make a downloading script that would download the latest version daily, the rebuild the package and upload it. No human work is required. The only thing a human should do is to add the new links for new sets.

I was not reporting a problem

My guess at what R-TEAM was meaning was that he found it hard to individually maintain a large NewGrf collection up to date. So, I thought he would be interested into that link to the #openttdcoop NewGrf Package (which, BTW, includes your ECS vectors) and its new system to keep the package up to date : "svn up" and
voilĂ ... Never been so simple (thanks to Ammler and Osai).

Powerplant: units of energy production

Hi Georg,
just started a new game with ECS. It looks great and I especially like also the possibility to build a station right through coal mines. One thing caught my eye though when looking at the power plant, but maybe it was reported already.
The unit of energy production per time is either watts or joule per hour. But watts per hour is not a reasonable unit to express energy production but only change in energy production (which is not really interesting here). I think you want to express it as 300MW in the shown example.
EDIT: in order to make it clear: the unit of energy per unit time is watts. The most interesting feature of a powerplant is its energy output per unit time.

This problem was reported and fixed, but it was the only fix, so I did not upload the file yet... Done, but the file date is 12 February, do not be surprised.

I've looked around for someone else having my issue but haven't found anybody thus far...
My ECS industries show up bright, bright pink, which, from seeing screenshots, isn't the way its supposed to be. The oil refinery graphic, which I recognize as the vanilla graphic, shows up just fine. Its only the ECS graphics that are funky.
Everything else works fine so far except the coloring... Anybody have a clue what's going on??
Thanks,
-Vox

Make sure you downloaded the windows vs dos version from Georges site (match what you are already using)

Whoops.
Yup. Right before I saw this your reply, I noticed an earlier post about pink discoloration.
Realized that my .grf files didn't have the requisite w, came back and immediately fixed the problem by downloading the windows version.
Silly me.

I tried to play starting in 1920, town + basic + machinery, uk renewal set.
I managed to get the production to increase on a rather short-distance route from coal mine to power plant. Two trains were traveling something about 40-50 squares. Production gone up enough to support 5 small wagons for each train. Then the power plant closed. I simply quit the game.
Well, it's nice that its hard to play, but that's too much I think. It is nearly impossible to do something with 200.000 initial loan (difficult settings). Even with million I couldn't help industries to stay alive, not even saying about production going up.
How do you make money with ecs??

For about 25 game-years I've been playing with the ECS vectors (except construction) now and they work great. It adds a lot of depth and fun to the game. However, I'm having a problem with my chemical plant. For some years I've been transporting refined products to, and dyes away from it. Dye production was about 200 units/month with fertilizer production being zero. As i'm starting to work on the agricultural vector, I need the plant to produce some fertilizer as well. I built a train for it and it is waiting for full load, but even after multiple years the fertilizer production is still zero.
How do i get the plant to produce fertilizer?
