Beacuse of the language problem with the text in the transperent mode I've tried the icon. What do you think?

And a new statue too

Unfortunately it is white. The problem is that a sprite above makes it grey. I hope there would be a callback in alpha 58 to change it.

Do anyone care about the transperent mode?

2admins: please remove the current poll - we need a new one ;)

To George: Maybe I missed something... how are tourists generated?
I have a city with a truck loading bay that accepts tourists (there's a statue in town). I bought a ScenicCruiser (year is 1965), sent it to the loading bay and told it to wait for a full load of tourists, but it doesn't load at all (not even one unit). Now, do statues actually produce tourists or do they only accept them? If they don't generate them, what does?

Now they are generated in toy shops. I'm waiting until Csaboka documentate the new callbacks 2E-30 to change the situation

Now statules do not produce tourists. Whey will not do it later too. Hotels will generate tourists.

But toy shops are out of towns. Is it way to they'll be only in towns? Maybe hotels and monuments can also produce tourists?

I see... well, to be honest, I find it a little bit limited. I agree with Wile, it would be cool if statues too would generate tourist, maybe at a lower rate than hotels.

Concept should be, you take tourists from hotels, you bring them to monuments. And the other way back. The way you mentioned would implement just the first part... i.e. you would simply pick tourists up from hotels, but not do the trip back. I understand that it's not (yet?) possible to make statues produce the same amount of tourists received X days after delivery, so letting them produce a small quantity of tourists could be a way to solve the problem.

Will hotels be built as frequently as statues when they're implemented? And how far will they be built from the city center?

It is a temp step.

To make them behaviour correct, they need to be industries. We have 90 industries limit now and it can be raised to 255 max. In this case it is no a good Idea to code it this way. They'd better be houses. From this point of view they should not produce any tourists (because there may be no hotels), but only passengers (regular citizens), and they do it.
Snail wrote:Concept should be, you take tourists from hotels, you bring them to monuments.
No, you bring them to tourists centres, which are industries. And transport them back to hotels. Because I plan to have 6/8 acceptence of tourist by 1x1 hotels, statues are required to be near such hotels to make them accept tourists

It is only possible with industries, that is not a good solution for now IMHO

I'll think about it.
Snail wrote:Will hotels be built as frequently as statues when they're implemented?
Default statues? No. The new hotels would have a higher probability, than default buildings, but many additional restrictions (like population, number in town, number on map, and so on)
Snail wrote:And how far will they be built from the city center?
Anywhere. Some hotels will require specific town zones. For example, hotel "Pribaltiskaya" can be build in zone 2 only

George: Hotel Zvon looks really realy good.

Re generating tourists ... could your tourist sites, hotels etc perhaps be made to both accept AND generate tourists as with the temperate banks and valuables?

Actually, it's possible since alpha 57, I was just too lazy to document it - until now. Details can be found in the wiki
