My new improved bus-stop. It now looks more like the original.
Any ideas for some objects in the bus area?

won't doors on a depot get in the way of adjacent tiles?
that is if they are animated to swing or slide, will they then passs through other objects?

I think the depot is a little bit off scale. it's way too high and wide. maybe there should be some floor around it (grass or concrete). This way the doors won't be on other tiles and it wouldn't be as big as an appartment building.
just my 2 ct.

Ichi, it's likely to be only half a tile wide, relatively speaking.

Ok, I thought that it was going to be as big as an entire tile, because he didn't put a tile under it, my bad

I'm making an assumption based on the talk of railway tracks being re-scaled to two lines per tile, rather than one.

I find all this scaling really baffeling.... Many tracks on one square sounds kinda lame i recon. Sounds like a whole different game. I remain puzzeled as to some things (many many things) on the scaling/slope gradients/track bits... I asumed/hoped, that it was all going to remain true to the origianl as much as posible.
If anyone has written a clear, succinct and concise compendium on this, could you send me to it...(preveable with big pictures...posible pop up)....alternatively, could someone please explain this to me in laymens terms..(messenger?)
Someone said about bridges being looked at...well i started...(some way down the page)
http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... start=1060
...i have done more than that, but stopped due to some confusion.

Basically, Ben, the tiles will be a quarter of the size, and things like buildings and industries will take up four times as many of them.

hmm, is it still going to be posible to applie an original track piece in its entirety spread over the 2x2 squares at once, or would this be many moves/clicks? (i.e. 1 90 degree corner, = 2x 45 degree corners)

yes i read this so it should kinda just fit on a normal tile i think, still not close to finished, but im hoping to get feedback and improve it, but are the "sliding"doors better then the old version "doors"?
also i know you guys want more and more detail on about everything, but first let me get the ouside correct, then i can add stuff like oil drums, toolkits and so on
for the outside i want comment on:
1) shape (more boxlike, want it to have more with, height, lenght?)
2) thoughts on the platforms and "hole under train" part (ive been inside a real depot once and it was more like an assembly hall then a depot no hole but had a kind of crane that lifted the train, so you could replace whole parts......

From childhood, Ive always thought all engine sheds should look like the
Airfix kit. Of course, very few ever did, and even less today.
Modern ones in the UK have inspection pits between the tracks, so an engineer can stand and fix the chassis.
Other models also look good;
Hornby Diesel depot,
Hornby Engine Shed

nice pics rick but the problem with the 2nd one is that its to long, so either i have to adjust the wiki one or i have to change something else
i did create the pit they should stand in but its not really good like i wanted it to be, maybe my next will look more like yous
@berber nice house!

BerberJesus: Thats a quality building/s youve made. Really Nice. It looks extreamly attractive, and posible too attractive. Could there be some junk/flowerbeds/bins/piles of things etc scattered about?
All: Just wondering, With all these new graphics being more zoomed in, its going to be very apparent when roads/driveways go to nowhere. If all buildings have there road exits made to line up, and graphically match roads, then some programing could enshore roads connect to a 'buildings square' roads...Would look nice then.
richk67: The sides of that airfix depot aint to far off the origianl graphics, i recon they would look pretty cool. The Diesel Maint Depot would be good to replace the monorail depot. Not to keen on the other engine shed though. A little bland i recon. I recon (Biohazard) you should check that airfix thing out, and incorperate that in.

Can we not keep this one as a Bushalt?? (holds a lot less ppl but can be placed on the side of a road rather than taking up its own space).
