Even though you have little time a (possible?) bugreport, it seems like auto-seperation (Maedhros' patch) doesn't work the way it should work in your patchpack. The startdates aren't divided in the way they should be (order in line, or if that's not applicable vehicle number) but somewhat random. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I've tested it with only his patch applied and then it worked like a charm. Do others have the same problem? Other than that, many many many thanks for making it! Paxdest is my favorite but some others add to the fun as well :)

Is there any possibility of getting this upgraded to the latest Nightly? :D I'm doing some testing and would really like these features with long-format dates

I've been playing with this one for a while now. There are a lot of great features that i'm not to sure i'm gonna enjoy playing without if I ever jump to the nightly again! Keep up the good work!

For now I've updated almost all patches in the first post including:

YAPP v7
Copy&Paste
Better Graphs
distant join stations
drag'n'drop land purchase
DayLength
New GRF gui
middle stop (trains shorter than the station stop at the middle of the platform)
Quick Goto
Filter by Cargo
Close Airports

and I haven't dig into these patches yet:

Shape Towns
Minimum Town Distance (these two is IMO not that important)
Timetables
Routing Restriction
Advanced Terraform
pax dest

should I make a binary for what I have now? :)
and how about these patches, which one do you really miss & I should update next?

I like paxdest and timetables the most, haven't used other patches you mention in my past games. OTOH is paxdest probably a LOT of work and it would potentially discourage people to write a new paxdest patch which is 'needed' because of problems with the current one.

I'd make a combined binary/patch and add the other stuff later. You forgot distant join stations i think. People like that. Anyway keep up the good work, makes me feel less guilty for neglecting it.

ha, I did forget that. It's also one of my favorite.

Thanks for your great work on the patchpack, as it motivated me on OTTD again. 8)

Looking forward on your new pack :mrgreen:

This leads to the Disable Tree Growth patch. I would really like to see this. Too much of trees already! Especially if you have a longer daylength in play.

Toni Babelony wrote:Beh, haven't been onto it. You can do it yourself if you want since it's damn easy and you don't have to download extra programs for it.

- Download the OTTD source and unzip it into a folder (rename it to 'OTTD' to make it easier) that's easy to find;
- Download the patchpack to the OTTD map and rename the patchpack to: "patchpack.patch";
- Download the "copypaste.grf" from the forums and put the unzipped file in the /data map;
- Open 'Terminal' (Find it in the Applications/Utilities map);
- Type in the location of the OTTD source folder. e.g.: "cd Users/name/Desktop/OTTD" -> Enter (don't forget the "cd " in this command!);
- Then type: "patch -p0 < patchpack.patch" -> Enter;
- Wait until finished, then: "./configure" -> Enter;
- Wait until finished, then: "make bundle" -> Enter;
- Wait until finished. This could take up to 20 minutes and PRESTO! You can find your version in the /bundle map.

Be sure to have a corresponding version of OTTD and the Patchpack! Else it won't work properly.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips, but I ran into some problems. In the second point you say that i should download the patchpack and rename it. But the patchpack is downloadable as a zip and when I open it, there's a folder. What exactly should I rename?

Another thing: how should I check whether the OTTD and the patchpack have corresponging versions or not? I cant find any information from this thread here concering which OTTD version is suitable.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Look into the folder and what's there? Yes, the patchpack. I only suggested renaming it to make it easier. You could also choose not to, but that will make the chance for typo's much more likely when compiling.

When downloading the patchpack, there is a version at the end of the name. Download the corresponding version from OTTD source from SVN. (explained on the OTTD wiki how to do that) "(r13019)" means: compatible with r13019... :?

in short, it can do 32bpp blitting as fast as original 8bpp-optimized blitter (no more jumpy cursor when zoomed out!)
need a (newer) hardware-accelerated graphics card, of course.

it should already support PNG sprites for now but I haven't tested it yet.

Palette animation is partially working but need further cleanup/tweak :mrgreen:

Routing Restriction would be the only remaining one of the list I personally use. Pax dest still results in really weird networks that get flooded for me, and I can't get timetables to do anything other then complain when a train breaks down =P

Thanks for your work on the project!

Another 'teaser' for what I've done 8)
Alphablending, color-flitering on the videocard is a joy ...
but palette switching & texture management could be way more efficient,
seems it's still a long long way to go ........

Back to the patchpack.
seems Roest's still busy, and I also don't have much free time next week
so I'll try hard to put an exectuable in the following 24 hours (?)
maybe including Route Restrictions patchset. stay tuned :)

Looks like a very nice assembly of patches :). Good work!.
Tiberius wrote:Timetables: 0.6.0 beta 2 implementation seems useful enough?
uhm. It's in trunk that you can use time tables... no patch needed.
Tree growth setting: need upgrading
I have an up-to date version of Frostregen's original one, updated to r13400... (if you're talking about switching growth on and off) I'll post it tonight (9th June) there: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=35540

EDIT: diff for patchsetting "disable treegrowth" now added to aforementioned thread

Now Tiberius, if you could update the Route Restriction too, it will be very good, very very good :)

Edit: Ah i see that you fixed loading old scenarios. Good work :)
