Sounds good. If we don't hear form Jake and if no one objects within a few days why not let that be our theme.

The theme gives us a lot of choices.

We can do the "Highway to Hell", the "Yellow Brick Road", "The Long and Winding Road" or maybe "Route 66". Just to name a few. :D

Haha, was thinking of song titles to give the theme a certain "edge", but decided just "HIGHWAYS!" is a nice way of keeping things open :)

Hi,

Due to personal issues, I've been neglecting the timely posting of results and entries for this competition. I'm sorry about that.

I no longer have much motivation to continue hosting this competition, I've been doing it for over 4 years now which I think is longer than anyone else has done it. I'd be happy to hand over the reins to anyone who wants to take over, but I don't want it to end suddenly so I'll keep going for the time being. Please PM me if you're interested :)

But anyway, I've updated the first post, congratulations to Fredinho for breaking the streak, and keep the entries rolling in! And thanks to all for posting the theme and poll results in my place.

Your forgiven .. you been through a lot with the forest fires followed by the floods plus personal issues.

I'm stuck in Philippines at moment because of the virus. All airlines are cancelled domestically and many international until 14th April. So I can't get home to Australia until after airlines are operating again. If no one able to continue this competition when I return to Australia be willing to take it on.

What been happening here in Philippines' taken away my motivation to do any coding for now too.

But curious can 2 people have access to the forum to close and set voting in case one of us is unavailable?

Hello LaRoso, where you get those sound proof fences you used near the railway line? I been working on that idea to include with my railway tracks, but what I done not as good as those in your screenshot.

Love to get permission to use that design in my AusRailset and also for a AuzRattRoads.

Cheers

Thanks for that pal, appreciated.

I started working on same principle to go with my AuzRailSet and hope to also make some for my AuzRattRoads.

What I done several weeks ago was these for one of the rail sets. I worked on them some more today so could test them and try get the fence looking better on slopes. I had concrete wall at first and after looking at some videos I took last year from train window of these types of fences realised I can improve on them.

So I came up with this design. Very similar to the Korean Object Set, but I kind of think that the Korean set looks better.
SoundProofFences.png
I'll have to try contact the maker of these to obtain their permission to use their design as it is Creative Commons Licence.

Love what they did making several sound proof fence designs of different heights. So If I could make one set about 10 pixels high then their set can be used with my rails and not look odd if a player uses a high object fence.

My fences still need to be a few pixels taller, and work on the slopes but just haven't got around to changing the size of the templates to allow that yet.

Thanks again.
You're welcome
Unfortunately, the KOS walls don't have slopes. Also when on the next level they are a bit displaced, as you can see in my screenshot at the tunnel entry.

North West part of the State where a Highway runs through the middle of a farm across flood plains.

Farm grows crops of wheat, canola and corn and sheep being driven to the shearing sheds.

What with the pandemic pandemonium only essential travel is permitted. The highways are virtually empty. Most of the truck stops are closed. A lonely exception on the Woods Valley Highway is the Tower Truck Stop, but the hotel is closed as is the tower. The dining room in the restaurant is closed, but the kitchen is open and truckers can use their CB radios to call in their orders and have a hot meal waiting when they arrive. We see a truck loaded with medical supplies pulling out and a reefer of fresh produce pulling in to the pumps and a tanker is unloading diesel. Give thanks to the brave truckers who are the lifeline of the nation.

Very well said  . Truckers always help the population with deliveries of various goods, regardless of the situation, weather and other factors.
In general, I like all the screenshots submitted this time for participation. They look nice :D .
