I apologise for the delay. As you probably know, Australia has been affected by the worst bushfires I've ever seen, which has threatened the area where I live. Countless homes have been destroyed and an entire village not too far from me has been flattened. I live on the edge of a bigger town which is less likely to be affected, but I haven't been able to enjoy the holidays because of the constant fear and preparedness. For this reason I've only just regained access to my PC today because it's been safe in storage.

Sorry for the long rant, but I needed to express how dire things have been down here.

Anyway, happy 2020 and here are the entries!

It's Christmas 1831 and Santa just visited this dairy farm.

Kids out side near the house waving to Santa and his sleigh fly's away pulled by 6 white boomers (White Kangaroos).

He left the father something very unusual for Christmas for that time of year.

It's Christmas and the town of Lonham is in darkness ... except for its main square where all the inhabitants of the town have parked their cars around the big christmas tree...

In this town, no one is left alone tonight, those who have no family or those who lost their loved ones share the moment with entire families that have even taken their pets, being part, all of them of a big family and community that celebrates this special day together.

It's Merry Christmas time again. The trees are lit and the CP Rail Holiday Train is at the station with a cargo of music and good cheer and glad tidings for all. Better be good. There will be presents under the tree tomorrow. Sorry, no lumps of coal this year. The Climate Changers wanted it all for themselves.

Understand you problem as I Australian too. Just lucky that where I live near Newcastle so far (touch wood) not been effected. There are 2 fires about 10km from there but so far under control.

The news on internet say over 4000 houses and other buildings destroyed and millions of domestic and wild animals killed and its not over yet.

Stay safe.

Emperor Jack .. don't worry about these months screenshot look after yourself and family until all settled down and danger passed. Between the 3 of us in this months competition we can see by the voting who wins and I think that winner can decide a theme if need. You just stay safe.

I totally agree, the SOTM is simply a way to have fun and escape the daily stress of our lives, the important thing now is that you stay safe and pay attention to this tragic situation that your country is suffering.

How true.

Well "temporal8" looks like your going to be the winner of this months unless Wallweb or I get lots of votes in next few days.

So if you like can give us a early idea what you like the next theme to be.. Can put it here and when Emperor Jack gets chance he can let us all know later if that theme be ok.

Cheers all

Well, the previous month I had chosen a topic and Jake reminded me about the SOTM Christmas tradition, so it would seem logical to use that topic that I already talked with Jake the previous month.

i hope Jake can return next month and back all to normal.

The theme it's: Caribbean Cruise port

Interesting Theme .. looks like we all go on a sea cruise or a holiday along the coast :D

Australia still go t fires. They are predicting some rain this week which if true will help a lot, but whether it enough to put the fires out that remains to be seen.

Some places still with out power and internet so maybe Jake in one of those locations or can not return to his home yet.

Our thoughts are with him.

It's no use sittin' here singin' the blues
So Gbe my guest, you've got nothin' to lose
Won't you let me take you on a sea cruise?"

I'm fine thanks everyone. The situation has calmed down in my area but I've been distracted with other things in the meantime. Work's started again, life's getting back to normal and I've been playing transport fever 2 since I got my PC back...

The theme's been chosen and temporal8 was nice enough to copy the voting results, so all I have to do is update the first post :)

I'll even post an early entry: (this is from an old multiplayer game and some credits go to Romazoon)
The United Cruise Kingdoms Terminal on the resort island of Amsterdam is busy with passenger shipping traffic to many destinations across the sea, as well as for receiving food and supplies from distant industrial centres.

Glad to hear about you, Transport Fever 2 it's a one way road, I've been avoiding installing due to the high time I could spend on that, because the possibilities are endless...

The small Caribbean town of Edintown has a heavenly resort next to a small shopping area where the cruise ships arrive.

From the beach it is possible to see how the cruise ships arrive and depart with relaxed vacationers.

Caribbean Cruise Ports
======================
The irascible Pirate Pete was cruising the Caribbean in search of booty when his ship was swallowed by a mighty storm.
His crew went down with the ship, but the irascible Pirate Pete was cast away upon Castaway Island.
He hauled out his wireless and called his travel agent to report his plight.
The agent suggested that the irascible Pirate Pete get an honest job.
Pirate Pete replied "I know this island. It is where I bury my treasure." which he dug up and instructed his agent to cash it in and send him the material required to establish a Casino.
The casino named Castaway Casino was promptly built, but alas, nobody came.
The agent suggested that the irascible Pirate Pete put up a sign and build a port, but still, nobody came.
The agent told the irascible Pirate Pete that he needed to run a promotion perhaps giving away something for free.
The irascible Pirate Pete said that he would give away free rooms.
His most atrocious spelling saved the day and Castaway Casino became a most popular and profitable Caribbean Cruise Port.
