"Gated Communities"
Let's build those fences and lock those gates! Get screenshotting!

Gated communities have been around ever since man has felt a need to defend the community from whoever or whatever. We have seen fortresses and castles and walls. Today we see fences and gates.
SCENE 1: A modern gated community with a nice stone wall and a security entrance, it is inhabited by the elite who seek to defend from the deplorables.
SCENE 2: The deplorables are relentless. The nice stone wall is no match and it is replaced by a fence of proven design and a very secure gate.
SCENE 3: The deplorables win. The wall is breached to the North. The elite have scrambled to their helicopters and taken everything with them.
The community is still gated. Only the characters have changed. The elite have moved elsewhere, perhaps to some remote islands in a remote sea. Who knows? Who cares?
Welcome to Spurenwijk! This gated community boasts quiet cobbled streets, swimming pool, tennis courts and a fountain. And most importantly, brick walls and security guards to keep the riff-raff out. While still being conveniently close to infrastructure such as the trans-state highway and the railway. Homes are selling fast - call 1300 655 506 and book an inspection today!

Here my entry .. farming on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales Australia.
Crops are Corn, Cronulla and Wheat. North-West Mail Train can be seen crossing the bridge.
My entry, a Gated Community with a lake, golf course and some sport facilities, a nice place to live inside the walls surrounded by nature, birds and tranquility.
Security, healthy life, sports, social life and tranquility as opposed to living in the busy city.

Is editing images allowed for this month? Might make creating spookiness easier.

So how about we add all the contest winners there? Any objections?
2019 retro should suffice.
Awesome. Start with a selection, see how we go?
The Ghost Train Of Riverton Ravine
It was close to midnight, October 31, 1900 and the gold mine at the Town of Riverton had played out and the Riverton Railroad train was about to make its final run across the Riverton Ravine Trestle with a roster of officials going to Riverton Woods Station to officially close the town before returning across the trestle the following morning on its way back to the city. The platform was crowded with the last of the town's residents. They heard the train's mournful whistle and saw as it approached the far end of the trestle when it happened. A flash of light brighter than the night's full moon, the sound of wood snapping and metal tearing, followed by the moans and groans and sobs of survivors in agony and the train and trestle were no more. The witnesses on the platform rushed to the scene and found ... nothing ... no trestle, no train, no passengers, no rubble. It was as if it never was. The station master was on the platform in front of his office when at precisely midnight he heard the tap tap of his telegragh tapping "sos sos please oh please help us please sos".
The station and the rails are long gone, but close to midnight of every October 31 the scene repeats itself ... the flash of light, the moans and groans and sobs of passengers who are not there, the mournful whistle and the funnel's smoke and steam from a train that is not there, crossing a trestle that is not there and if precisely at midnight one should stand on the long abandoned platform just in front of where the station master's office used to be, one might hear the tap tap of a telegraph tapping "sos sos please oh please help us please sos" ...
