- i replaced monorail bridge with a still tubular but slower bridge, and a 2tiles road bridge have been replaced too. beside that i haven t seen that many other in fact... maybe you meant there is too many "suspended" bridge?
- I did not added road through stop as they were allready there...
Also what do you think of back ground noise, is it ok?
romazoon wrote:maybe you meant there is too many "suspended" bridge?
Na, I saw one suspension bridge - and all others seem to be tubular bridges - which is a bit sad given there are so many different brdige types to choose from, esp. as the tubular ones are IMHO rather boring compared to the nice cantilever and suspension bridges - I haven't yet listend to the games actually.
Ah, the title screen. I remember playing the original DOS version of and staring at the title screen in awe... ...for hours...
So I was pretty excited at the though of offering ideas for the title screen on OpenTTD. I tried to add a few unique elements:
- double rammed monorail trains in the style of the French TGV's
- an urban metro (which I think looks particularly snazzy when runs across the bridge)
- an attempt at recreating Canadian Pacific's Spiral Tunnels (blue tracks, lower left) (the real tunnels give cool pictures like this where the train passes under itself)
And then I added what I hope is enough vehicles to keep it interesting but not too busy.
Road vehicles at 'New Slutfield Farms' are lost.
Also, down and to the right is a bit boring, just straight lines.
To see for yourself, notice what is displayed the top-left corner, zoom out one level, and move the map back such that the top-left is at the same point.
(In other words, the top-left corner is fixed instead of the center!!)
Edit: Clarified a bit what point of the screen is fixed.

The blue track that goes up on the right of the picture has an unnecessary bend in it, you can make it straight to the tunnel.
Otherwise, great title screen!
So an updated and improved version of my submission! I wish I would have realized that it's the top left that stays in place and not the centre...

I added the missing road link (it was hiding behind a tree...)

I see... yes I thought it was the centre that stayed in place so there's lots of excitement to the top and to the left! With this now in mind, I've added to the bottom. While it remains more 'rural', hopefully that doesn't equate to boring.

I updated my savegame with a better viewport. I didn't know that that was the way you made the title screens. It's in my old post here
I think I'm going to try to replace the maglev with a normal train and a monorail train and try to find a new place for the maglev. I hope I can get all different sorts of trains in such a small frame, but I really like how the station looks like now...
Uhhh... I'm making another Title and it will be a crazy one. Sadly, that I can see it only as 1024 to 768, so I don't know what it will be look like in a full view, but it could be extremely interesting, then the first Title attempt. I've made a lots of things there, almost everything that you can imagine, that you can do in OpenTTD, so it mostly shows the OpenTTD possibilities. But there is a bad side of this one, the Title can't show all things, so I got a suggestion to developers: It would be much interesting if the Title location could change after some time period to another location, that has something to show - some other moving stuff (trains, ships and so on), it could be a group of signs (as a center beacon for the place) or something else, I mean that if there could be a code that is searching for such signs and then it just change location or it could just to move randomly screen near the start point (2 or 3 of max screen sizes in all directions or just clockwise/anticlockwise) or to move all over the map...
Here is a preview:
P.S. There are a lots of work to be done. But it is a good base to show already, there are a lot of other good things on that map, but I can't show all of them here, it could be too much of them and a huge screenshot (around 35 MB) won't fit here anyway.

Keeping in mind that the more that is on the screen means more sounds I don't think this is too much
Hi all, I have wanted to enter this since the last contest. Most of the road vehicle routes were made by AI (they are not there now of course) and cleaned up. The air traffic is mostly eye candy but everything turns a profit.
Haven't seen anyone else use multiple companies yet, plus I completely filled the map. Please criticize, complement or comment.

Any comments/suggestions?
Yeah, don't let the road cross the maglev on level grounds. I had a maglev destroy one of my trucks once. I don't know how it goes with the monorail, but if you have the train signals close to the crossroad it might go wrong as well.
OK, I've fixed all of my bugs there (I'd to kill my contribution for the Title cause of two bugs in it) and made 3 more variants for the Title: the first and the second are powerful ones (especially in the max size screenshot), the third one is moderate and probably won't make it, but still it's good in some way (in the max size screenshot), the final is the most weakest, but still it has something to see (even if it very less)...
So I had to make four posts in a row (((( I hope moderators will forgive me, anyway the first one from this map:
