Yes - it's completely your imagination

See figure below. And thanks!

You're right, it's just imagination. Maybe double-pixel mode helps my imagination - I haven't got used to it yet
But now I've got a feeling like both ends of the train got rammed by a car on a level crossing, from right side - don't you think both ends are bent towards left?
On the other side, it's double-pixel mode and it won't be that visible in-game. Especially when train would be moving. And it's pixel-art, and such misalignments can't be avoided, I think

Aaaarrrgh! Now that you've said it, I'll never be able
not to see it like that

Haha now we both see funny things
By the way, how's your work on Swedish cargo trains and wagons?

Not only the two of you!
With so few pixels to play with, it is inevitable. So better not mention it or a dozen other members will start checking other sprites/grfs to find similar things.

Slowly going forward. I've got:
1:st generation: flat cars for wood, goods, steel, iron ore, copper ore, coal, grain (not very believable, though) and a box car.
2:nd generation: flat cars for wood, goods, steel, box car for goods, food, mail.
Still missing a lot of car types, and most of all, still missing variations to make the trains more interesting to look at. And still missing a 3:rd generation or later.

First three wagons (in both rows) are excellent

Of course others look good, too, but these six wagons are notably better shaded. Bulk cargo wagons are nicely designed, but is load needs some re-touch, I think
grain (not very believable, though)
Not believable indeed. Before traveled a few kilometers and its an empty car
I have searched internet a short time but when entering "sweden grain car" it only shows volvo passanger cars. Very strange
I think the car is OK but graincars are covered. I include a picture of a few cars
Nice picture by the way.... I wonder in which set It will be drawn.

An update? Almost...
I'm almost finished with the ore wagons, 3 generations of them. Re-reading this last page of the thread, I see that I have some recoloring to do to be able to call one variant 'Grain wagons'

Just start playing! First post of the thread contains the current version, just updated with the ore/coal/grain wagons. See also my signature
All feedback (errors, game balance problems etc.) is welcome!

I presume this set isn't ECS compatible. Are you planning on doing so anyway?

ECS? What's that
No, I know what ECS is, but I don't use it myself when playing, and thus my trains don't need to be 'ECS compatible'. You'll have to understand that I had done no coding at all when I started drawing these trains. The ECS specs may be fine for the coding veterans, but to me it's just a big fat ??? And the discussions are still running about it - is it really a sitting target?
Additionally, I have enough work with the original cargo, who needs to draw 16 variations of each wagon (not really, but you get my point).

Fair enough. Though the ECS adittion to M. Blunck's DB XL Set have no cargo replacement graphics. Most of the bulk cargo all have the same color anyway. (Red, Black or Yellow) Goods in closed vans can't be seen, etc.
It would've been a nice addition though, since I only play with ECS since newindustries was implemented in the OTTD trunk. I love the complexity of the system.
Anyway, keep up your fine work on this set. Maybe you'll find someone willing enough to code to ECS compatible for you though.
