as for the submarine...cool, could you change the torpedo graphics a touch? they dont look quite right...alhough i guess those cant be changed.
i also think that the submarine would be submerged as most shipping would have an escort
well, depends on what time this submarine cruises, for exmaple, in 1940, they used to attack on surface, because escorts were rare and they were out of range of most aircrafts, but in 1945, they had to spend the more time possible under the sea to no the be spotted by planes and radars on ships.
and i don't think the topedo can be coded for TTDP, it's useless in a transport simulation

actually i drawed it for fun only.but yeah the submarine can replace the submarine disaster. the tanker is for 1939->next tanker release era. i'm gonna try to make more ships but i promised to snail to help him with stations for the FRSet first. so time will come.

Now, could you paste that graphic in a TT screenshot the way you want to act it ingame. Because AFAICT, it'll never be adjacent to the water...

Yes, I have some constructive criticism:
Your shading looks too plain. Don't use a regular pattern (like alternating pixels), that's as bad as no shading.
OK, now to the constructive part

: Look at other artists' drawings and learn from them. There are great pieces of art all around here, e.g. Oz's drawings in
this thread, or
MB's artwork, or Purno's drawing tutorial (link in his signature).
The rooftop of houses is much more randomized as is the street surface. Improve on that and you'll be
really good (in this case take Oz's buidings as example).

did a mockup on purno's advise, here it is, i think it fit TTD style and the water inside the airport is calm because of the concrete walls on each sides. this is only my thinking, now i wait for yours.
thanks!

i dont think the seaport should have sea walls, and probably no hangar either...but i think you should ditch the walls and use the normal water

whaterve you say... it looks great

well do you know an harbor which is not protected from waves? and when a plane has to land there the sea must be calm so i think seawalls are at their place. and how would you buy planes without hangar? and remember it has to fit the current little airport sheme to make the coders work easier.

ok, good point on the hangar.
but i havent seen any designated seaplane landing zone protected by seawalls. they would land on lakes or try their luck

since the water can't be animated in this airport, i choosed to put seawalls to not to make it look too strange looking at other water tiles. it gives a reason for not animated tiles.

is it really impossible to add animated water to a structure?
surely theres got to be a way...
cant ya just leave it blank and you would see the water underneath?

Only bad point I can find on the sea-aiport is the hangar. And 2 things about it:
1) It looks like the plane is going on stones in the hangar?? Is it just possible to copy water IN the hangar as well?
2) The roof, those black stripes are pretty ugly.. Could you (and would you like to) try something else?
Apart from that, looks very nice!

They can be animated if you use the same colours as the TT water uses. IIRC, those colours
always cycle the blue water pixels.

And how did you plan the airport preventing from flooding?

But it doesn't "make the coders work easier" - at least with the newairports scheme being worked on. Also, the current small airport is dodgy - it allows aircraft to taxi through each other, for example.
And the others are right. No water tiles are "animated"; the colour cycles are done with the pallette. If you use the same colours you will get the same effect.

I think it looks good in comparason to other TTD buildings. To me if you make a building look "Too" perfect it stands out like a sore thumb, unless you got a total building replacement set.
*EDIT* correct me if In wrong, but dont most sea planes like the katalinas from WW2 have wheels as well? The hanger is there so the mechanics could work on it while its not in the water, there would be a wench to pull the plane out of the water for maintance. Would be kinda hard for them to repair a leak if they couldnt ever take it out of the water hehe.

hello again, after a few time without prodicung something, i come back with a little station i prepare for the french set, la gare de l'est, a parisian station for eastern country destinations. i attached a begining of the shape, tell me if it's correct or if it needs some corrections, thanks!

It seems rather small for a station hall. It looks quite large in the photograph. Good start though.
Also, the colours are a off
