There are times when JPG is useful, TTD screenshots is not one of them. Please use PNG instead.

Downloaded this svn version with tortoisesvn, but cant compile it in mingw.
I attached a log file, "..." means I not included more lines here.
Close, close. Mostly looks like the zlib missing warnings (failed to link messages). You need to ensure you have the zlib path set in your Makefile.config STATIC_ZLIB_PATH:=/mingw/lib/libz.a. Also, make sure you have "WITH_ZLIB:=1" set.

Generally most of the other warnings are non-fatal to compilation, but may cause problems during the game. (For example, a warning about a condition always being false by definition, of course means that during the game the "if true" part never gets executed.)

My copy of MingW32 also complains about svnversion: command not found. It doesnt seem to affect anything however. The gfx.c:1792: warning: 'mask' might be used uninitialized in this function
warning is a new one to me, so it may be a minor error introduced in a new update.

I also get the video/win32_v.c:205: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules warning. Again, it seems to have no general effect. This one was introduced when mods were made to hide the mouse cursor when the mouse leaves the window. The "problem" didnt bother me as much as the warning in the compilation does ;)

Cant see too much difference, except only the zoomed out view is nicer.
This build not have gradient windows option, and always crashing after some min:

Code: Select all

Assertion failed!

Program: D:\openTTD\openttd.exe
File: spriteloader8.c
Line: 274

Expression:i!=endof(_sprite_ptr)

I laughed at bobingabout, though - it *was* a URL. Just because his browser doesn't understand the specified svn scheme doesn't make it any less valid.
