There's no point really, you'll be able to change this on a bus-by-bus basis. It would also make savegames with different settings incompatible because the flag you can set would have the opposite meaning.

This is really just for which default to choose... no big deal, just pick whichever you'd use more and vote for that as default.

No, as we discussed, that is unfortunately not possible. Also eis_os thinks it would change the gameplay too much. Yes it certainly would, I think for the better, but that's a matter of opinion.

Gotcha ... I'm still for express as default but I do like the option feature so I can experiment with the local setting. Thanks :)

Local as default from myself - buses round here are mostly all stops, except for in peak hour, in which case adding the express tag would be easier for a select few buses :)).

Nice work as always Oskar :].

:?: re the local/express setting option in the orders list :?:

Will it persist when you replace the bus or will it stick to the new bus as the orders currently do?

i vote for express ... like trains ..

what with AI ? will it pass my bus stops ?

express way, just a conformity with the train.

and probably local method would not work well for city busses. there are so many routes in the town and you'd need to precise each stop in many cases, otherwise busses could go wrong way and ignore bus-stops.

People, you do not get the point

if you vote Local, Local Will be the default setting, BUT EXPRESS setting is avaible. Just like in Locomotion.

That was a much needed reaction, Aka. It's probably very hard to read the poll question well and then vote.

I voted Express per default, because it is like it used to be and trains work. Stop everywhere you can enable with the flag.

My Vote goes for Local as default.

Most of my busses would be city buses and therefore I can save me A LOT of trouble adding each busstop in each direction.
With local setting, I only have to point to stops at junctions and it automatically stops everywhere in between.
I guess its a matter of getting used to.

My vote goes for the default/express configuration.

The Default is: Express, the local thing will be added later when more order bits can be used...

would it be possible to built it without needing removing road and when destroying bus stop leaving road ?

Or perhaps "auto-buldoze" the road-tile
and perhaps so that the buldoze not affect the rating?

ok first impressions from alpha 46:

1) when built on a sloaped tile the graphics appear lower than that of neighboring equally high tiles..

2) I tried to build an iron ore rail station with bus stations and lorry stations to a another iron ore mine nearby.

(bear in mind the difference or bus STOPS and bus STATIONS)
a)I put a busstop there first.
b)Then I put a lorry station next to it (which appeared as a bus station)
c)Well assuming the lorry station with bus station graphics still internally was a lorry station i bulldozed the bus stop and wanted to add another bus station next to the lorry station with bus station graphics.
d) im told that there already is a bus station, so i try placing a lorry station
e) im told that there already is a lorry station (strange how the single lorry/bus(?)-station can be both)
f) i try to bulldoze it all to start anew at the rail station but it tells me that I cant bulldoze my lorry station with bus station graphics because "An aircraft is in the way"

Well thats nearly ridiculous now so ill add my config and savegame for you all to see and laugh :D

Well I know that error about lorrystations, it's when you don't select a orientation in the lorry window and had set busstops before in the bus station select window. Fixed.

Buildonslopes for busstops will be disabled aswell...

It is disabled at the moment or will you disable it in a newer version in cause of bugs??

both bugs mentioned will be fixed in later versions... alpha 47

In short:

busstops on slopes = bad idea, don't do that.
Building lorry stations without clicking the orientation button = bad idea, really don't do that...

how can i get rid of that strange lorry station then however ? it interferes with my plans
