[OTTD]Level Crossing's Screenshots
The first game I'll show is clean trunk, no newGRFs.
First screenshot:
Dronwood and Dranwell share a train station, with bus feeders. Second screenshot:
Two trains pass each other in relatively lonely Sondington. Third screenshot:
A "branch" and "main" line meet here. The middle 2 platforms were originally built to expand the station, but the venture was abandoned after the expected passenger flow failed to appear.

...continued...
Nedham, the terminal of two branch lines. It used to have only one, but overcrowding was such that the company was forced to extend another. Wenhill, the main city of the company's empire. This is the converging city for both of my main lines, as well as two branches. "All roads lead to Wenhill"? However, unfortunately, due to urban decay, the downtown area has lost many of its buildings. To attract more customers, the company moved its branch-line station to the suburbs. Farthingstone, served by local trains on my Pledingbury-Nedham branch line. After residents farther down the line complained about the length of their commute, the company made express trains bypass the station via the center track.

A quick birds-eye overview of my routes. And a very not-to-scale map. Many tourists visiting the company president's statue in Wenhill have gotten lost, but the company lacks the designers to make a new one.
Note: I was inspired by Gord while creating this. I used under-the-table secret deals (cheats
) to get money and demolish lanes in towns for my nice, leafy train lines.

Re: Level Crossing's Screenshots [OTTD]
After protests from the northern part of the map, the company was forced to add a diesel line. Here is a diesel train leaving Senfingwell City.
The lines were built single-tracked, with the stations in the town roads to save money and avoid demolishing half the town. However, residents along the line swamped it, leaving the company with no choice but to build numerous passing tracks along the line.
The map has been updated to reflect the new line, and a legend has finally been included to avoid some confusion.

Re: Level Crossing's Screenshots [OTTD]
There are delays due to a slow speed order at Mufingpool Bridge, track 2.
The residents of Lefingburg look on in disdain as an ugly, one-rail structure is constructed near their town.
The line is inaugurated, running yet again in the northern part of the country from Redwood to Hedinghead Cross. Here, the two inaugural trains pass each other at Mardingworth Falls. A bus feeder will be built here soon.

More stuff
The line has had to take an unusual detour to avoid Chadingham National Forest. The nearby station has been accordingly named, after pressure from the local tourist group. Another map, which has been made even more confusing with the addition of purple monorail tracks.

Re: Level Crossing's Screenshots [OTTD]
That company got caught cheating for money, so a new one has been started with many newGRFs.
Time now: 1940.
Map size: 512 by 512.
What exists:
A main city, Easton, with 20,000-population cities at each corner of the map, for future mainlines.
However, once again the owner has not abandoned his old ways, using cheats to get money and demolition rights.
Screenshots (zoom in for better quality):
The lonely town of Farnford, with the local station in the town. The express bypasses the town. The city of Garnton, with an express-local station and parking lot. The company treats its express riders much better than its local customers, with roofed platforms and longer, faster trains. The main hub, Easton, with 800,000+ residents. This is the designated terminal of the northwest line.

Like the screenshots keep em coming.
But I do think you should change the name of your main hub to EAT ON seeing as there's 5 McDonald's within walking distance of the station lol
Make that 6 I missed the one at top left

The town has boomed, with over one million residents. Re: Level Crossing's Screenshots [OTTD]
In an effort to save money and prevent empty halves of platforms, Easton Transport has begun utilizing half-platforms on its local line. The platform is on the town side of the station (if the station is on the outskirts).
However, due to carelessness, this town has a most peculiar station!
The contrast between the local and express stations is evident in this terminal at Lindhead.
Note: This is also a potential McDonalds destination.Like my avatar? See my screenshot thread

After a news outage, the presses are rolling again.
As usual, zoom in for better quality on the images.
A satellite view of the transit system, with major features emphasized. The bidirectional commuter service with the orders window shown. A birds-eye view of Easton. Note that because of protests, the corridor on the right has been submerged, while the tracks toward the left of the screen are still above-ground. Also visible is the first intra-city service, the Easton subway, with brand-new, electric signals. The line is not in service as of yet.

Using Vaulter's Hard Pack, the adventures continue!
The subway in Easton has rapidly expanded, with two full-fledged lines. The introduction of electric signals was so successful that it is now testing on the express mainlines in and out of Easton Station.
Please comment! Feel free to request an area for me to screenshot!

Nice screens. To bad for all that signals. Like all that people that builds signals every 1,2,3 squers. Where in the world have you saw a train occupying 2, 3 signals simultaneously!?

Re: Level Crossing's Screenshots [OTTD]
The "signal every two tiles setup" has nothing to do with reality. It is an in game strategy that allows for many trains to travel efficiently on the same stretch of track minus the constant stopping and starting. While many players build their networks in a realistic manner there are still occasional concessions that must be made to the fact that this is a game and not reality. As such it might require the use of certain mechanics that differ from reality in order to make it work as one might desire.
