CHIPS Station Set - 1.9.0 released 10th May 2019

CHIPS Has Improved Players' Stations?

Get it from the bananamobile, or from http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/chips/releases/LATEST/

By Yexo and andythenorth, with help from planetmaker, DanMacK, Pikka and more :)

No parameters, no known version requirements, no known conflicts. Enjoy ;)

Changes in recent releases

1.9.0 Release
Cargo graphics for:
- limestone
- salt
Fix unwanted animated water pixels in Harbour Crane sprites

1.8.0 Release
Cargo graphics for:
- nickel
- coke
- metal (using new METL cargo label in FIRS 3, not STEL as before)
- quicklime
- slag
- pig iron
- explosives
- pipe
- sulphur
- soda ash
- cement
- vehicle bodies
- potash
- zinc
- kaolin
- peat
Consolidate all CHIPS station tiles to one category 'CHIPS Stations', easing station construction by reducing navigation clicks

1.7.0 Release
Cargo graphics for:
- cassava
- copper
- edible oil
- nuts

1.6.1 Release
Cargo graphics for:
- manganese
- paper
- phosphate
- pyrite ore
- vehicles
Improved copper ore appearance

1.5.0 Release
Cargo graphics for:
- beans

Fix bad png profiles (no difference in-game, but stops compiler warnings)

New tiles for Harbour Cranes - 4 directions (drawn by DanMacK)
New tile for More Huts
Docs no longer mention other newgrf sets in set description, it causes unwanted results when searching in-game content

Cargo graphics for:
- coffee

- diamonds, gold, valuables
- rubber

- sugarcane, sugar beet
Grain Silo indicates cargo waiting for additional cargos:

Fix for missing pylons with electrified tracks

Fixes all known issues with monorail, maglev etc (sprites were garbled).
Improves concrete slab tile by providing buildings etc.

  • Improve appearance of mud tiles, livestock tiles
  • Provide a url for newgrf info in OpenTTD
  • Updated docs to credit DanMacK for hotel sprites

maybe expand this with firs-set-like overhead buildings etc? (sheds/cranes etc from firs can be used)

Ahh yes, that'd look sweet. ISR always looks abit pants with FIRS cause of the different ground tiles, DWE Stations is closer but doesnt have as much variation as IRS. Personally, I think buffers should be next on the agenda, I might even have a crack!

What about special no-track tile with buffer - now train hits buffer every single time.

CHIPS 0.3 released - have it fruit flavoured or here: http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/chips/releases/0.3/

Main feature is some cargo support. The graphics for mineral cargos currently suck. I can fix that later :P

Suggestion: removal of the crane from the dock so that they look suitable with passenger ships as well?

May I suggest a non-track tile 'bumper' that is just the track leading off into the dirt or gravel? Many light industry sidings don't have a real bumper - instead just wheel chocks (Not likely to be visible in the game) and then just end in dirt or gravel.

A Hayes bumper would be nice otherwise.

like to report missing graphics when your have monorail and maglev. chips does not work here :)
and is it correct that chips gets put into default stations ? shouldn't it be in separate menu entries ?

Known, too much work to fix right now.

Cranes are common even at purely passenger serving wharfs. How else do they load food, baggage etc on board?

If we had NewStations type support for docks, a ferry jetty would be nice though.
