Andy, would you mind if I borrowed the logging trucks and maybe adapt them for other cargos if they had other uses (I know there are some trucks that where multipurpose as a dumper, or a tanker, or a flatbed)

What license is your set? If it's GPL, then you can adapt...

i think i had an issue with the first industrial tram, when refitted to medium length, it seemed to be treated as full length for following vehicles.

Short looking trams use a long section of road, the player see that there is some place unused, and it just not look good in a traffic jam if there are some truck-lenght gaps.

yes, like colossal404 said, there was a gap between the last visible wagon and the next vehicle.

Andy, I've got an errored tram:
I play that save a few months ago with OTTD 0.7.x (maybe 3, but not sure) and with HEQS 0.7.1. If the tram on the screenshot is started, the OTTD freeze, eat up my CPU and not move any more. I have got a lot of same trams, but those aren't crash the game... I don't know is that report could help you in anything, I just want to inform you about it.
And if I change the HEQS to 1.0, it crash because that tram still can't move. :S

i would like to a suggestion for the HEQS-set
because i think it would be an addition to make the set more realistic

a truck for liquids, with running costs at 4.000/5.000 a year, with loading capacity around 50.000 liters, speed around 80 to 100 km/h.
for supplying petrol stations, grocery's, glass-works etc.....

especially for:
chemicals
fuel/petrol
oil
alcohol

(as seen in the FIRS industry set)

i really like the HEQS-set

if my English is bad, i'm sorry

i was thinking of this: (the truck in picture has a loading capacity of 13.400 gallons = 50.700 liters)

That truck is silly and it has too many wheels. What you're really looking for is this:

But at the same time, it looks bad if trucks are moving at highway speed with no space between them.

Suggestion: if it's possible, have the truck/tram have an 'invisible' section when it's moving, and not have it when it is stopped. This would have normal spacing on roads but no spacing in traffic jams.

It is not easy. What with vehicle that is just starting

XXX-Vehicle_a-XXX YYYY-Vehicle_b-YYY

XXX-Vehicle_a-XXX invisible-section-of-vehicle-aYYYY-vehicle_a-YYYY.

It will result in ugly jumping.

Feature request:

Newer models over time for the logging trucks, like many of the other vehicles in the set have (e.g. the Mog has 1947, 1963, 1976, & 1992 models).
Currently the logging trucks only have the one model of the year they are introduced: 1972. It would be great if they could upgrade over the years twice or thrice or whatever. :)

50 mph seems a little fast compared to both the other trams in the set and the real thing, very nice drawing though.

And just by the way, here's an interesting variation on the railmotors (yes, that thing in the front).
