Doesn't matter
Was a rubbish photo I took anyway heh
What does the tilt-shift actually do? I see some stuff looks more out of focus or is that pretty much what it does.

The first picture is an example of a completely wrong approach IMO. Tilit-shifts are suitable mainly when shooting a picture from above, in this case you're just flattening DOF in an unnatural way which doesn't really involve "model effect", it's rather making the picture look weird instead. The other one is fine though.

The tilt-shift effect usually makes stuff look like models, neither of those photos is really suitable.
Talking of tilt-shift, quite a cool band from NZ did a cool video in tilt-shift.

With the tilt shift; may I ask how you did it?; or you just have the lens?

Since there's not a topic called "What happens when you get bored" I guess I'll throw this in here.
Ended up doing some sketching a couple of months back then trying to make vector graphics, colouring, shading etc. I had never done it before but quite enjoy it now

SimCity 4 would be a great game, if only it didn't keep constantly crashing on me

And another whatif. Original picture by Mr Jamie Hunter, RailUK Forums. I had to redraw most of the surface detail though, but the underframes and bogies are largely his.
