New GRF here

Fixed up the Orion V specs
Added Paper and Mail cargos to F9000
Split the Orion V into Bus and Coachs (because they've been used in both areas (eg. GO Transits Coachs or TTC's City Buses)

I know NA import a lot of vehicles from Europe, but not too many. I think the rates between the NA and Euro trucks are 90%-10%, so there is a lot more american trucks than european. And the set need almost only NA trucks to keep the feeling of the set.
But you manage this set, I wont't interfere too much, only some drawings if I found them.

Well If you can help draw some of the few NA Model Euro trucks then that would help. Also I plan on doing road trains and large powerful Logging Trucks

If you want things to scale it might be an idea to post the lengths of these trucks

Its hard enough to find truck weights and capacities, finding the dimensions would be too much work for most trucks except modern ones.

Just google image the trucks name and then you might get its picture for reference. For now I have somethings I must attend to...

In the case of the Lonestar, try this

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=international+lone ... all+length

First result should give you what you need (unless Google is customising your results to your search history). Either way, http://www.navistar.com/LoneStar/Specifications/

But in respect of specs for older trucks, what Neko said. However the key dimensions of most US on-highway trucks have not changed in maybe 60 years, so you should be ok. And at pixel size, it really won't show up much.

For what it's worth, I'm (slowly) working on standard scale and sprite layouts for BANDIT, including converting Pikka's train template sprite offsets to be suitable for road vehicles. I'm not doing it very fast though :) As you guys are doing this set to cover North America, and there's already Hungarian, German and Long Vehicles truck sets, perhaps Oz / Kiwi BANDIT should be my first version :)

Well, maybe you could help with this set if you have a little time. Btw isn't bandit suppose to cater toward the larger trucks on long huals and Offroading (including road trains like you see in Australia?)

BANDIT is Trucks :P So just about any on-highway truck is fair game for inclusion (from small trucks up to road-trains).

I also want to keep all the sprite sizes *very* standard to allow for easy mix and match of trucks and trailers, that will make different combinations easier :)

Er, the length of trucks is a major legislative issue in the US, and indeed most highway semi-trailers have been built to the maximum length allowed at the time. It'd probably be the easiest statistic to find for old trucks. :P

Despite most trailers having common dimensions, you must take into account the hualing capabilities of the truck and the frame of the trailer least it gets overloaded.

NE and SE sprites are a little off (too close to the line in the road), other then that could you also add the Orion V Bus (one for City and one for Coach)

Argh! Finding specs for older trucks is so hard! Please if anyone has information on anything older then 1980's then please post. Also we really need large powerful trucks like logging trucks

Alright, I made some changes to the truck so that it will look proper when being used with industry sets like FIRS and ECS

Trucks will now be divided up into 4 categories : Box, Dumper, Tanker, and Flatbed (if available) and 2-3 for buses : City, Regional, and Coach
For now the F9000 doesnt support ECS cement (im not sure whats not supported in FIRS yet)

And heres yoru grf starting now at r100
