Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development
Hey I was wondering, though its nothing major, could you some how add info for the power plants telling you how much power they generated last month so you can see if your trains are actually delivering enough fuel or coal to the station. Another thing, when was the first official aluminium plant built in real life?
One more thing, do producing industries like oil wells, forests or mines produce more if you provide good service or when you deliver supplies?

Hi Andy,
What're the chances of getting a honey farm sprite so we can add it as a food-producing industry?

No, requires passengers, food, goods, beer (you have a brewery?) produces passengers, waste, glass, fertilizer.

re: university

@Wilkes re: bee farm,
I can draw it but you'd have to code it. It would be a FIRS Add-on. Find me a source image, and indicate exactly how many *years* it would take for the bees to produce one ton of Food cargo
General note: I don't draw on request. Not unless I've known you for the last five years, and possibly not even then. Wilkes falls into that special case.
...and should be implemented as multi-tile town buildings (i.e. houses in nfo terminology). So any of you feel freeEXTspotter wrote:No, requires passengers, food, goods, beer (you have a brewery?) produces passengers, waste, glass, fertilizer.

Hello
Tschö, Auge
Download a nightly of FIRS and read the file wich says "read me!". That file tells you wich sets support the FIRS cargoes.DonPucini wrote:I can´t find trains for this set - can you help me please?

Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development
For the guy that cant find trains
2cc Set Works
NARS 2.0 Works
UKRS Works
US Renewal Set works
Japan Rebewal Set Works
Spanish Renewal Set Works
Serbian Renewal Set Works (I think)
Canadian Renewal Set (0.2) does some of thw cargos but you should have another set to use its wagons (though this doesnt always work)
Also for road
Long Road Vehicles v4 Works (mostly)
GRVS and eGRVS works
The above names might not be exact, but you should figure it out

As above, CanSet 0.2 covers *most* cargoes, as does US renewal set.
if you use the engine pool feature ('enable multiple newgrf engine sets'), and use both CanSet and US Renewal together, I think you'll get full cargo support. I'm playing a game that way.
The HEQS road vehicle set also has full FIRS support (as you'd expect).

Im always using a bunch of Train and Road sets, even 2 PLane sets (Av8 and Plane Somthing set)
I usually use UKRS, NARS 2.0, US Set, Can Set, Tropical Set (I have it in there because I like some of the trains you can get, plus, I wanna use the one in the future, but i never get that far T^T ) and the Serbian Set, mainly cause I like some of its trains and, some of the wagons are handy, like the OPen Wagon or the Huge 100K Liter Tanker (or was it 180K?)
Oh, I also use 2cc, havent be using much of the trains or wagons, but its there In case I want it (and for the TVG and the Metro Commuters)
For roadsets I use eGRVS, Generic Tram Set, LRV v4 and HEQS

The first aluminium smelter went into service in 1889 in Pittsburgh. Check the site of Alcoa.NekoMaster wrote:Hey I was wondering, though its nothing major, could you some how add info for the power plants telling you how much power they generated last month so you can see if your trains are actually delivering enough fuel or coal to the station. Ahh... but what would they use it for? They didnt have air planes yet, nor did they have cars using it, maybe... I wouldn't know for sure...Hyronymus wrote:The first aluminium smelter went into service in 1889 in Pittsburgh. Or Jugs of Milk and bags of grain (which would both be better for small industries like the bakery if it accepted milk too)DJ Nekkid wrote:botteled milk?
crates of grain?
The NARS 2.0 Covered Hopper can do Fruit and Veggies, I was thikning, maybe at the farm or plantation they turn the stuff into juice on site

Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development
Nice sheep farm.
Concerning the sheep, it's my feeling that they need to grow a bit. Somehow I currently have the impression of chickens instead of sheep (maybe it also has to do with the seemingly v-shaped (~three pixels in a curve) form of them.

I added 1 pixel on the back and moved the leg a little bit. Better or worse?
