It is not new and basically you still get very high ratings, but you need to have fast trains to get them, so it depends on what train sets are you using and how advanced the game is (e.g. year).Vik wrote: Is this code new? I am not sure but I can remember playing with ratings around 80 % a lot in the past.
This a good idea, since it would allow productivity raising in even in early stages of the game.George wrote:I plan to review the code and change 75% limit to 67%Vik wrote:George do you need to adopt ecs to the current conditions?

Hi!
I'm searching for vehicles which are able to carry the ECS cargo.
So far I've found "Long Vehicle Set 4" but railroad cars would also be really nice.

UKRS, US Trains, Canadian Trains and DB set all support ECS, I believe. That's not the complete list, but those are the sets that come off the top of my head.Dominator86 wrote:I'm searching for vehicles which are able to carry the ECS cargo.

Does there exist a list of vehicles with ECS support?
If not, maybe someone knowing most of them should create one for newbies like me.

Dominator86, this is exactly what VoxDissident just told you

If you are not ready to work a bit for your ideas, it means they don't count much for you.

Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
Hi There. Used to play TT a long long time ago and just getting back into it! Must say am loving this site with the all the new ad ons and graphics. Makes it even more enjoyable to play!!
Am very keen to get a game going with all the new industries provided by ECS vectors. I'm trying to add them all to the West country Map from TTDpatch I believe.
I seem to be missing a suphur mine however! I think thats all I need to complete the cycles. I guess I am probably not loading a certain grf or loading in the wrong order or something. Here is a screen shot showing what industries are available in the editor and which order I loaded the grf's. Anyone have any ideas??

Hi,
my vehicle-factory neither does produce a lot of cars nor does it accept dyes.
Could someone please check the savegame?
thanks in advance

Only northern part of the factory accepts dyes. You have to build the station on the other side or expand the current one.ian76g wrote:my vehicle-factory neither does produce a lot of cars nor does it accept dyes.

Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
Thanks George. works now. Anyhow: Its very, very complicated to play with _all_ ECS vectors.

Oh OK! So the chemical plant doesn't need sulphur then?? The system just works without it?

yes. But if you'll provide some it would be accepted and processed.GeorgeTT wrote:Oh OK! So the chemical plant doesn't need sulphur then?? The system just works without it?

Hi,
. Games are never the same like before. But there is a logical sequence for industries:
1) build up glass industry
2) deliver coal and iron to steel works.
3) deliver more coal and iron
4) build up the chemical vector to produce dye
5) deliver steel, glass and dye to vehicle industry
6) deliver vehicles to other primary industries to build up the other vectors.
So the complexity is more sequential...

Yeah. I got the idea.. but:
until I manage to deliver "more coal and iron ore" all other industries went bankrupt and vanished.

Hi.
Who can tell me, why those sand mines pretend that I just transport 66% of their output?
Thanks in advance
iAN
PS: even after switching to "load all trains at once -- not after each other" I just stick at 66%
PPS: problem solved.
I spend some money at the corrosponding city for some advertisement. -> Rating went up to 90%

Hi ian76g,
Not "all" other industries close, one of each kind remains all the time. And if you need a second one you can found a new one when and where you like. It's even better when you can chose a good position for it.
For secondary and tertiary industries I never needed more than one or two on a 512x512 map.
IMHO there should be more surviving primary industries, but they also can be founded or prospected.

It is a behaviour of the ECS vectors discussed multiple times before.ian76g wrote:Yeah. I got the idea.. but:

Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
this is something I do not get as werll that good.
Many industries in primary sector disappear even with picking goods up and deliver them. ( do i essentially need to deliver cars ??)
New ones are not founded at all ( so far )
A food factory even closed down with while I was servicing with grain, fruits and oil-fruits. already 3 times within 15 years I needed to re build it from my funds.
( I am using 0.6.0 weith the ECS's from 13th april ( beta4 ))
...and - not to forget - the US train package 087.3 does not contain all needed goods. eg starting 1935 or 1960 I have nothing to transport corn.

now I am using 0.6.1 and the thing with the US trains work, but closing industries with running service is... not amusing.
not very realistic that a company closes if they get raw materials and make sales with goods that are delivered to a range of adresses.

They never close if the service level is at least 1 point higher than the lowest one (for example, the industry with the level of 4%, while 3% is the lowest level, will never close unless it drops the level to 3%).sportbotaniker wrote:closing industries with running service is... not amusing.

When industry plan to close, it reports it in 24 months before the closure, so you can provide a better service and save it.
It is very realistic. Every unprofitable industry closes sooner or later. In RL you often do not have 2 years to save it
