[UNIV] ISR - Industrial Stations Renewal

I noticed a similar problem with the conveyors. At the moment, if built on a slope, they can only face along the track. It would be better if they could used facing across the track.

Some very good news for OpenTTD players using ISR:

At r12798 station animation was added to the OpenTTD trunk. :D

And that surely did add a LOT of eyecandy to the game for sure! Looks VERY nice, and lets just hope it doesnt reveal too many new bugs with isr and ottd :) Suddenly the ranking for ISR went from 10/10 to 11/10 :bow:

Playing with it right now , seems to work fine.
Dont know how it looks in ttd patch , so cant really compare.
But animation works!

1) there is no such thing as "the latest version of OpenTTD", or rather there are at least THREE latest. versions of OpenTTD, so you are ambiguous.
2) "tomorrows nightly" has not been build yet. Will be done in about 6 hours.
3) what is "the next version"?
4) it works in trunk.

Then you dont have the latest , but the latest nightly.
You can compile it yourself from trunk.

No offence but your all confusing me, i don't exactly know what half of these terms mean. RacerII said the animations work on his game, he is playing OpenTTD. Now can someone please tell me how to make this work on my PC please.

Download BuildOTTD and build the newest revision of OpenTTD with it.

For those that cannot manage to wait (and/or make build themselves), heres a build of r12799 from this morning. Make a copy of yopur OTTD installation folder and unrar/unpack this over it and fire it up to see this awesome new feature with your own eyes :D

well the others have already posted what options you have, and trond even posted you a complete build with it working, but I'll try to explain you the stuff you don't know:

trunk: the place where the developers of OpenTTD put each and every change they make to the game. It is frequently updated (sometimes 20 times a day) and contains the newest features and stuff the devs have done. The versions there are called "revision", with each little change the devs make, the number is increased by one. We are currently at about revision 12800.
If you have some knowledge about programming (or alternatively use a tool like BuildOTTD (Windows)), you can compile yourself a running game from the latest (or in fact, any you want) revision.

nightly: every evening (thus it's called nightly), the newest revision is taken and compiled for different operating system (windows, linux, ...) OpenTTD supports, and made available for download here: http://www.openttd.org/nightly.php
You can just download and play it, without needing to know anything about compiling, and still test the newest developments that have been made since the day before.

stable: The so-called stable versions are official releases like 0.6.0 - the name is somewhat irritating because it suggests that the nightlies (= non-stable) are buggy or bad in some way, which they in most of the cases aren't. There may be some fresh bugs introduced by a new feature, but mostly it's nothing serious, because the devs carefully check what changes are done to the trunk.

Ok, i have allready got BuildOTTD i use it to apply patches, so i pick the top of the list called trunk and just build it without any patches to get this feature.

When you build a switchyard, isn't it supposed to get random freightcars sitting in the eye-candy sidings? Because my switchyards are always empty except for real trains.
