sadly that is more the exception then the rule

what I hate the most is when people 'tag' things...

an example of good graffiti is banksy...

this being my favorite: http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/4 ... pa_300.jpg

Yeah, Beeching Axe, e.g.?

Or "Real Vandalism (tm)" like that?

That photo still makes me sad.

As for "tagging", the only "urban art" that is worth keeping, is that which is commisionned to go on surfaces by governments/councils, which not only looks better than plain concrete (usually it is an urban-art stylised rail image of some kind), but it also resists tagging over, by mutual respect. No "respected" (I put them in commas, because it's illegal and a stupid thing to be respected for) tagger will tag over a "comrades" legal artwork.

It's cheaper than graffiti removal.

Also, tags on trains are disgusting. A group on the south coast of Sydney were filming a whole gang of them tagging an entire car of an interurban train at Dapto (a 2-3 minute station stop). They had covered the entire side of one car, in the time it took to stop at a station. Police caught them though, and are using their own videotapes as evidence agaisnt them .

m3henry, considering that people here have lost relatives and friends in tragic accidents, no matter how amusing you think darwin awards are, they are not really appropriate material to show here.

does anyone remember how lazy ROsCOES used to strip EMUs before scrapping

They used to shove them in an old tinnel, and (no joke) FIRE BOMB them.
rather than using all the seats and spare parts for other members of the fleet, they burnt them out.

OFC, with global warming you can't do that anymore ...

Good for those that vandalised it! Yet more contributions for the (fictional) "Paint the train back to GWR livery!" movement!

Although they shouldn't have done that window as well, that is a shame.

We don't condone vandalism here, not even as a joke.

Yes, I saw that, I was quite surprised.

Hmm, the Lancaster Guardian seems to think it's eight not ten.
