Raichase, might I adapt your idea for the OTTD community? (I still need to think it all trough.)

Or make it even cross-platform. :)

What have you done with the trains? Please don't say you scrapped them all... Please say you stored them.

I wondered what the blinking light was.

Also, m3henry, can we expect screenies of your works?

You meant 31st Dec 1960, but that is also wrong because your decade started on 1st Jan 1950 and should have ended on 31st Dec 1959.... Now you played 11 years and pushed everyone following up one year.

whoops, I meant 1960! (changed now)
that was deliberate, as scuddles & co. was lagging by 1 year, and rai persuaded me to continue rather than wait, to keep this going.

First post in this thread wrote:1951-1961: m3henry
As I mentioned earlier, singaporekid didn't play 9 but 10 years as supposed. Yet the first post in this thread is misleading: "1951-1961" doesn't specify whether the 1st of January or the 31st of December has to be used for starting / stopping. But no matter how you interpret this "1951-1961" thing, you played from 1st Jan 1950 to 31st Dec 1960, which sums up to 11 complete years... Anyway, we can fix this with a more detailed timetable in the next round (and please, Rai, could you fix it for this round too, adapting to the new mode from 1st Jan 19n1 to 31st Dec 19(n+1)0 ?)

lets have a look at this properly:
  • 1921 J1-1930 D31: Raichase
    1931 J1-1940 D31: DanMacK
    1941 J1-1950 D31: Singaporekid
    1951 J1-1960 D31: m3henry

    1961 J1-1971 D31: orudge
J1 = January 1st
D31 = December 31st
conclusive proof that smeone dropped behind at somepoint.

Let's get this straight. So your saying you have played your ten years, which should have been till December 31 1960 but you played till December 31 1961 as that meant you still played your ten years. This therefore means that a player before you played 11 years not ten and has now made every player after them start on January 1 1972, for example, instead of Jan 1 1971.

Is my summary Correct?

I was thinking much the same thing, as long as we all play for about 10 years it's irrelevant really...

First of all, I agree with Raichase and Ameecher in that it's quite irrelevant whether one player played a year longer or shorter than another player. BUT as I am not willing to let any untruth be uncorrected, I will sum it up once again (and hopefully for last):
m3henry wrote:lets have a look at this properly:

    1951 J1-1960 D31: m3henry

    1961 J1-1971 D31: orudge
J1 = January 1st
D31 = December 31st
conclusive proof that smeone dropped behind at somepoint.
I don't know where you gathered this data, but the decade-ending savegames posted so far are of the follwing dates:

Raichase - 31st Dec 1929 (who played only 9 years as mentioned earlier)
DanMack - 31st Dec 1939
scuddles - 31st Dec 1949 (saved 1st Jan 1950)
m3henry - 31st Dec 1960

Now which entry differs from the others??

Yes. But the player in question is m3henry, see above.

Please don't get angry with me, but I've always been quite nitpickerish when it comes to numbers or dates as I am software developer...

Just quit the bickering about. I want to see some screenshots! I haven't seen many yet from the interesting game. For instance, how did the company get pulled out of bankruptcy, which lines had to go, etc, etc.
