Mini Integrated Nightly [discontinued 31/12/2006]
Moderator: OpenTTD Developers
I got that assertion error myself, but it was just a random event as far as I know. I was not building anything at the time when it crashed.
I have since gone back to the last win32 MiniIN which was compiled by the farm (7177 I think?!" and have had no problems.
I also had a problem with sounds and music being random and out of sync

I need more details on how to reproduceMoriarty wrote:I recieved an assertion error when using glx's build. I was placing a track I think:

it's "place sign" and it's because "copy-paste" didn't change the tooltip when copying the "place sign" button.Moriarty wrote: - The tooltip for when I hover over the "copy" function says "place signal".
Fixed, thanks.Moriarty wrote: - Under "Capacity" for frieght trains it says "Off edge of map (x2)" (i'm double frieght train load).
By default it's full load when you select "load", or when you select "full", so it's just one clickMoriarty wrote: - When giving orders, there is no "full load" - This is a "feature"? I realise it has new functions like the ability to chose loading percent etc, but 99 times out of 100 I want "full load". Using the new schema I am forced to click twice instead of once. These click add up.

I realise this may not be the right location, but it is part of the MiniIN.
Can the subsidiaries patch be modified?
If you have a subsidiary that has a lot of money, and you merger the 2 parts together, you get all the assets but the money is lost.
Can this be changed so you get the subsidiaries money (or lack of as the case may be) as well?

I realise you can do that to some extent, but its not the same as clicking merge and its done.KING wrote:transfer it all then merge
Surely it is not that difficult if you can get all the subsidiaries physical assets to get the money too.
Occasionally I have merged and forgot to transfer money before hand and have subsequently lost a lot.

Sorry, haven't got any - it just died.
It is? I just tried it - Clicking "loading" results in a pop down box. Clicking it again closes the pop down box. There is no "default" - it's two clicks. One to open the box and one to click "full load". Remember I'm talking about the mini-intergrated nightly here. Plain OTTD nightly is "normal".By default it's full load when you select "load", or when you select "full", so it's just one clickMoriarty wrote: - When giving orders, there is no "full load" - This is a "feature"? That's the thread you want - The patch creator is more likely to see it there.
Keep the mouse button pressed until your choice is doneMoriarty wrote: It is? I just tried it - Clicking "loading" results in a pop down box. Clicking it again closes the pop down box. I ask myself if it possible to get the drop down menu working that way he wants it to work?glx wrote:Keep the mouse button pressed until your choice is doneMoriarty wrote: It is? i dunno... i found it with first try (if i see an unknown button i always think before i release the button.. thereby seeing the dropmenu)Moriarty wrote:OK, I didn't try that. So obviously it's not obvious. Thus how are players going to find out about it?
Also - It's still more effort than simply clicking "full load". Why? Because it requires finer mouse control and more concentration. So I'd still prefer a "full load" button.

If you still have an idea how to design the gui please feel free to draw/paint an example to discuss about.
I suggested this many moons ago. It would need rewriting for the new widget system, but is basically sound.
OTTD NewGRF_ports. Add an airport design via newgrf.Superceded by Yexo's NewGrf Airports 2
Want to organise your trains? Try Routemarkers.

I noticed that, but some people want it that way, others another way.richk67 wrote:I suggested this many moons ago. It would need rewriting for the new widget system, but is basically sound.
Maybe a vote could help here. The buttons should be kept in one line (imo). Maybe it is possible to tell the "load" drop down button if it is pressed quick that should cycle through the drop down list, if you hold the button the drop down menu appears. That's the only thing that comes in my mind that gives a possible solution to all suggestions (see patch thread too), but i don't know if that is possible.

Two more issues.
If you turn on "gradual loading" a train won't stay in the station long enough to load all available/unload all.
That Full-load by dragging thing - when you drag you mouse over an option the option is selected with black. You thus end up with black selection on black text - unreadable. The text should be made white/gray for the selected item.

Post that under MiniIN problems or better yet - post it under respective patches' topics so the authors can fix it instantly.Moriarty wrote:Two more issues.

I see...
Well - in any case - problems with patches tend to get solved faster if you find the original patch's thread, although, yes, there are quite many these days included in the MiniIN.

There's that, or some other, more current players could help you - anyone (I too was "out" for some time...)?
