AFAIA, the only difference between Windows and DOS grfs is the colour palette. So for grfs with no graphics, they'll be the same.Death wrote:[edit:]Krtaylor, I added a DOS grf of the spanish names (although I don't see the difference), so you can add it to the site.
Correct. Except that for Win vs DOS purposes, character glyphs aren't graphics. (GRFCodec is not smart enough to realize this, and will attempt to map character-glyph sprites. Don't let it do that.)PikkaBird wrote:AFAIA, the only difference between Windows and DOS grfs is the colour palette. So for grfs with no graphics, they'll be the same.
Unfortunately, I no longer have VirtualPC and can't really find the time to install TTD in my DosBox... but I did see the pic, and I like them very much. Maybe they could use a bit of gravel more? I was testing the files the other day and thought: is it possible to have a GRF set automatically some options? so that the Spain set GRF automatically inserts the following parameters: currency: peseta, drive on right, measure: kilometers, city names: spanish
