Dutch Trainset v2.0

Right, edited that last line of pixels and made it a little bit darker, looks quite good actually
.
SWASTIKA gave me some advice on how to make the pantographs more realistic, and I don't know about you guys but I think these actually look a lot better.
So thanks for the help SWAS!
@MJS: I actually don't know, I noticed the B on the front too, but I reckon it's in it because it rides in Holland? Maybe it's manufactured in Holland?

Ah, I recognise those, it's my pantos. Some are wrong tho, perhaps read my EMU tutorial. If you don't get it, I'll explain more detailed.Gamble wrote:SWASTIKA gave me some advice on how to make the pantographs more realistic, and I don't know about you guys but I think these actually look a lot better.

AFAIK, it used to drive in the Netherlands (like a Benelux train I suspect). We will include non-Dutch trains which drive or drove in the Netherlands, like the current Benelux, ICE, Thalys and some cargo engines.Gamble wrote:@MJS: I actually don't know, I noticed the B on the front too, but I reckon it's in it because it rides in Holland? Right, I changed the colors of the front red lights to a dark red so they seem to be turned off, and the rear white/yellow lights a dark yellow/beige. Removed the light above the cabin window on the rear. Applied some different types of blue on the body, so it doesn't too blue-ish hehe. And changed the way the pantographs were mounted, I mounted them wrong hehe

I think you should try to focus on the rear cabin in / and \ views now, the rest looks good. As you showed with the front cabin, the nose has a rather specific shape. You should see a little more of it.
In the - view you really need to change the wheels. Take a look at any side image from electric engines and pay special attention to the bogies

But before that cargo service the Reeks 25.5 pulled BeNeLux* trains between Amsterdam CS and Brussel CS. They were replaced by modern Reeks 11.8 engines in 1986.
*BeNeLux: Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg, 3 relative small European nations with mutual Belgian borders, signed a treaty to support eachother in Europe. They called this co-operation Be(lgium)Ne(therlands)Lux(emburg).

It's hard to create something that looks like the front side on the rear of the / and \ view, but I tried, added 1 pixel on the back, hard to see (again) on that transparent blue, that should look like the vertical front of the nose/rear.

Well, as I said I edited them, meaning all of them, I now include also the ones without the blue around them, so you can see better what it looks like. If you can't see the diagonal side now, I don't know anymore.
Also enlarged the front and rear cabin windows.

do you have any links to better pics for me to work off? - btw, are the panto's facing the correct direction? i've seen pics of trains with them either way and i'm not sure which this one is cause the pic i was using couldn't see the roof

lol, they are diagonal... but i'm trying Purno's idea of being able to see both fronts... if you zoom in on the loco you will notice that the cab windows have been incorporated
if i bring the cab back one pixel like the first pic they look far to round and streamlined... but i'll play with the colouring/shading of the current shape and let you guys decide

Bah, i stuffed about too much with the ends and when i changed the colours and shape it looked nothing like the loco in the pics... so here it is finished
