Yes
Crazy Vaclav wrote:or will you do that yourself? Do you need other versions too, or just this tank truck?
I was specaing about the crane, but if you'll the truck too, it would not be bad. If you'll to the truck, could you do the body and the tank separatly?

ha ha A missunderstanding from my part. As you first asked to see the truck, and then wrote "carne", something I thought was the name for the truck, I thought it was that one you wanted. :P
I will just figure out how to make it cast shadows on the ground, then I will render all 16 views.

That is a nice tank truck/lorry. Could it replace the Uhl Coal Truck (second generation coal truck)?

Also, the large oil tanks in the refinery still look plain, they need stairways and catwalks.

The steel mill is coming along extremely nicely, and well, just plain cool. :P

Stairways and catwalks? What is wrong with those I have already made?
I don't know about the truck. I think I remember someone saying most road vehicles already has been made. I might remember it wrong though.

I was referring to the largest "OTTD Oil" tank. Every tank needs to be easily accessible by maintenance workers.

Also, in all my time of being here (long before OTTD was started), nobody has made any trucks, and if they were, and I missed them, they should be on the wiki.

I've been looking around a little and it seems I remembered it wrong. It was trains Alltaken said was basicly done, not road vehicles.

But Sellu has made at least one truck, and looking at the result, I think, if he is still around, he should do some more.

I thourght i saw another little lorry somewhere a while ago. Red*Star did a list of all the new graphics, (page 43-44), He may have spotted it.

Ive been trying to do the 10 Metro Cammell DMU train, and have put in all the key features i can see. I cant find many good refence images, so have just used the wiki one. I no nothing about trains at all, so i dont no of any key features that makes this train different from another, But this is the untextured mesh i have so far.

hmm. It looks good, but it looks strange somehow. I think it is the width. The Class 101 has a very broad front.

Looks good - but IIRC it has some ridges along the length of the roof, and a bit sharper gradient from roof to sides. (Thats from memory, but Im pretty sure of it. It probably doesnt show too well on many pictures as the roof is usually painted all black.)

[edit] Photo shows this as panels. I think this is a post 1970s dmu; the older ones are more angular.

Born Acorn: Thats a better picture than any i could find. It definatly is fatter than my modeel at present. It needs to be close to square at the front

Richk67: (IIRC???) The photo above seems to have a smooth roof. For the curvature of the roof, i had it flatter to start with, and then made it a sharper curve at the end, to what i thorught was about the same as a photo. The yellow section on the front follows the curve down onto the train side, so when textured the front should look like a sharper curve...if that makes sence... With that in mind, how much sharper should it be?

update...its ot a more curved roof, its been sqashed downwards to make more square, and lifted up of the wheels slightly, (i recon it was too low)... In persepective shots i compaired it to the sample photo born acorn posted, and it seems closer. I think once the yellow area is textured, the front will look closer.

Given the photo, the model does match the photo well. I remember the local DMUs near home (Devon) having ridges along the roof similar to those on an HST. Also, it had a distinctly upright exhaust pipe coming up next to the companionway.

Maybe Im just going all fuzzy in my old age... :)

There seem to be many trains that look very very simililar to this train... They may be the same train with slight differences...not shore, but i just went by the example one on the wiki site. Some of them probly do have coragated style roofs

Searching for the "Class 101" should get you a lot more photos. Metro Cammel made the 01 for BR back in the day. They can still be seen today rarely, but are being retired in favour of 158 Super Sprinters.

Thats a bit vague. Metro Cammel were the largest manufactuer of DMUs in the UK. So searching for the class (101) would be more helpful. Its like wanting to find a specific car by Ford and just searching "Ford Car"

Yeah, i was innitially searching for metro cammel dmu on google...it did kinda seem obvious, but ive found plently of good images now, looking for class 101 instead, (thanks born acorn). Anyway, ive textured it now, in max though as i said, so it will need moving across to blender and then redoing in there. So ive only spent some time on the maps.

Im quite confused now on the wiki site (train replacement reference images. The train names on there dont match the train names on the page where the new graphics are... (e.g. the next one down the list that is not done after this class 101, is the 'BR/Sulzer Class '25' (Diesel) ' but on the replacement graphics page, the next one is the '12 BREL '56'.... my knowledge of trains is incredably limited, and i no little about a train bar its colour, and the sorta track it goes on... So im baffelled...

Some of the numbers are a little confused. The BR/Sulzer '25' number 14 on the graphics reference list, beneath the EE '37'. A Google images search for the "Class 25" should wield some results.
