I made it to replace the set of 3 on the wiki page called '1x1 group of houses '. I cant change the wiki page, not shore how you change the main one. But i need to stick the houses and the train on there. Is texturing in vain here cause im doing it in max?... Ive been modeeling the hotel (next to the council houses on the wiki) tonight, and aint textured it yet, but ill attach it since im posting this anyway.... im posting everything i do on here, cause i asume everything should be examined and constructivily critisized by all before going ahead and putting it on the wiki site.....shall i keep sticking stuff here, or is it just wasting space?

An update on the refinery front. Needs more pipes, but any other suggestions? Also, as some might have noticed already, I started doing a little work on a steel mill. Any thoughts about how it looks? I mean, about the type of steel mill.

Could you make a bigger view of the truck in the front bottom part?Crazy Vaclav wrote:An update on the refinery front. Needs more pipes, but any other suggestions? I like the small detail on the refinery, especially the helecopter on the left. That is quality. In fact all the veicles are really good. Is it 3 by 2 squares in size? cause if it is, the lorries are a bit small. Artic's are about 40ft in length, wich is almost 1 square.
I was looking at some images of the teesside steelworks/refinery/industry etc, and its storage drums are actually a lot closer to yours than i thourght. All the steps and bits and bobs dont seem to be on them like I thourght. http://www.pbase.com/clements/image/39446214
Your pipes and tubes and stuff are really cool. I found a good reference image thow, so ill stick the link anyway http://www.pbase.com/clements/image/39455294
On the steel mill, the elements look cool, rather than filling in the space, you could expand them greatly, cause the steel mill at teesside is a huge building, its a few miles long, and must be the equivelent of 7/8 stories high at points. Basically it looks like a big vesion of what youv got on the left. couldnt find any good images of it though... this is the best http://www.pbase.com/clements/image/39519194 .. It also has many railways running threwout the works, and many huge slag dumps.
hope that helps, Good stuff so far on both of them.

I can't find the site where I found the models for the refinery, but it was some model railroad kit. The models for the steel mill I found here.
The refinery is 3*2 tiles, but if I made the vehicles the "correct" size, there wouldn't be any space left for buildings.

Here is a close up of the truck. I didn't make it, or any of the other vehicles in the picture below, very detailed though, as it was never ment to be seen upclose. It needs a lot more work before it could ever be used in the game.

- These are most of the vehicles in the picture. The only one missing is the forklift. I don't think there is any use for the Robinson R22 in the game, but it might look good on a helipad somewhere.

Wonderful job, Crazy Vaclav! The vehicles are beautiful!
About the rafinery, I think about more ground detail, like some walkways, pedestals under the tanks etc. I like the pedestal under the cargo helicopter.
I'd recommend enlighting the dark structure in the middle.
IIRC Alltaken said fences will be drawn in-game.

No worries, don't add the fence.Crazy Vaclav wrote:I would if I couldPurno wrote: Add a fence around it.![]()

As I can see, the carne is very detailed. If it is possible and will not break the copyright violation (also would be nice to know, who should be credited for it), I'd like to use it in ECS/TTRS. Could you make me 8 (or better 16) views of it in a big scale (I'll rescale it myself) from different directions?Crazy Vaclav wrote:George

I don't know anything about copyright, but it is ok with me.
Should I paint it, or will you do that yourself? Do you need other versions too, or just this tank truck?
It struck me when I rendered one of the models in the original light set-up that it wasn't casting any shadows on the ground. Isn't it supposed to do that?
What are the planes with the materials "Env" and "shadow" for? I would guess that "shadow" is there to create the shadows, but it doesn't seem to work for me.
