If only I knew how to make 3D models...

I would love to see some of these trains made, but I doubt anyone will make them, sadly enough.

I don't disagree with you, it's just that very few request get made. If I knew how to use a 3D modeler, I would produce more or less every train in Sweden, but I don't know how to.

Find me a name of the train (including all alias' and nicknames etc) and I'll go on a hunt sometime this week...

Wow, that's a C6?? How old is that picture. Don't they use C14 or 15's now, as well as the C20's?

I'm really confused. The C6's were delivered in the 70's, while the C15's were delivered in the 80's, yet the use the old ones.

You sound like a expert in this subject. Please, can anyone help me with this, or at least tell me how to do it myself!

I do have a C20 model work for TRS2006 but its a work in progress.

here are some pics. That C20 is one very sexy subway train. When I went to sweden this year, I got to ride it evryday for a month and I never got tired of it. Actually I was always early for my swedish courses cuz I wanted to ride one and couldnt wait hehe.

Big pics:

I have no idea how to do stuff for loco unfortunatly. This is my first model ever made (and still work in progress tho).

I'll drive one of those one day.

Right now its done in GMax but when I wrote that yesterday I decided to port it to 3dsmax but the process was not really supported so it needs a bit of work for 3ds but shouldnt take long, just need to reapply smoothing and retexture (will take the opportunity to fix the seat textures).

If you show me how to make it for lomo then i'll gladly spend some time on it. I prefer not to share the original 3dmodel yet tho, however I can release something for lomo if someone can show me how with gmax or 3ds.

btw, chrilldevil, I happen to see in ur profile that ur in stockholm, what part of stklm are you in? Is it because you ride tunnelbanan that you wanted to have it to lomo or was it another reason?

I was there last summer, were taking it from västra skogen to stockholm-c evryday, it was all underground but still rather fun. When I compare it to montréal's metro, I can tell you that we are years behind ya'll.

To render the train for Locomotion via 3dsmax, all you need is http://www.startrekgaming.com/moon_xl/l ... camera.rar , and norfolksouthern37's post at the end of the thread inthis thread might help.

I checked the links. I got a general idea of what to do. 135 renders of the object in specific angles. Then edit them with some blue background and thats where the info stops. What do you do with the end results? Where do you set the stats, in game name etc.

I dont mind spending some time doing it but I dont have time searching for complete instructions on how to do things in lomo. I need complete tutorial/step by step instructions and i'll gladly do it!!

"7. you will need to convert the output images to the locomotion palette of your choice (its better if you can script your image program to do the
conversion automatically, as i have)."

Ok cool but what lomo palette? and what to do afterwards?

thx!

ok thx for the palette, will see what i can do with it.

but after you get all the renders done with the right palette, I suppose you gotta turn that into a specific file that contains all the data for the game to use it?? That part I dont have yet

Cheers!
