New USSet Roads
I'm in a bit of a quandary.
1. This is my bridge set of choice.
2. I also like the USSet roads, originally by norfolksouthern and recently revised by Oracle.
For tracks all is fine. No issues.
For roads, unfortunately the bridges only show the default road surface when used with the USSet.
Is there any chance that you good folks might be accomodating the US roads in the near future?

I'm pretty shour that if you put bridges then the usset it should work

Well, it's a good idea, and it'd be great if it worked that way. Unfortunately it doesn't. There was some thought of completely reworking the bridge coe to allow that sort of thing, but it hasn't happened.

You might also want to test them as I have done.
The authors of this fine bridge set will have to decide if it warrants the extra work to accomodate the US Road Set.
I hope it does.

Ehm... IIRC this bridge set will use the European Roadset roadspritetype when this European Roadset is activated, or something (don't know whether it's automatically or manually), I guess such a thing could be done with the US set too. If you're doing that with the US roads, can you also do that with the Japanset Shinkansen-tracks?

the roads (USroadset) are displayed on the bridges here, but with loads of glitches and mix-ups, which looks very nasty. in fact, i was wondering if there's animo for a totally new bridgeset, which has more some old-style bridges, like that awesome brick bridge that pops up often in the screenshots thread. well, if anyone's interested... i know i am.

That would be nice. What I like about this set are the graphics, the more realistic speed limits, and the available dates. There is no action support for bridges, you can only overwrite the spriteset ...
(And before you say there is, I have written the action 0 code for my bridge, it's not a real support only a dirty hack )

Oracle, I'll do that much more easily, I'll need only a bit of assistance from any of you. I post a png, with the bridge sprites that need the USroad surface, to make it compatible. I coded this bridge set from the begining, with a concept in mind, that adding new roadset graphics is pretty easy.
This is also for any roadset designer: If you want to add your road texture to the newbridges[w].grf, just alter there sprites to your road texture.
Mind you: do not touch the red dots underneath the sprites, and do not modify sprites sizes/positions.
