I agree with Irish! Raichaise, we want to see pictures of your games! I'd like to play a new game, but I really need a nice map! Perhaps an alpine one with the new brewery...Come on Rai :-)

OK guys... There has been f*** all happening recently in this topic for some reason. But I'm about to change this now.

Here are some random shots of my last game. I'm playing a map of the Prague area, which I found in the savegames topic a couple of pages back somewhere. It's a very well made scenario I have to say, and due to its hilly terrain, quite challenging to play.
So here is the first pic. I'm posting one pic per post, so please don't get upset, I just like it that way.

Praha Central Station

The Praha Central Station. One Mainline is currently connecting from here. On the right, one of our short passenger lines can be seen climbing the hill towards Praha-Zizkov. This short line is still running on the original steam traction, and people seam to like it. This is bound to change however soon, as plans to make this a real commuter line will be put forward over the next two years. There will also be another line from here going via Karlin into the further suburbs. A picture of Karlin can be found later.

Praha Hist Centre

On the other side of the river is the historic centre of Prague. due to the lack of space, the bridge is only one track and no station is currently available there for the passengers. Only the commuters line on top of the hill and some buses are running. The ingeneurs got the order to figure something out, but haven't come up with a useful plan yet.

Headoffice

Our Headoffice has been nicely set up in the historic quarter of Holesovice, right at the riverbanks. This turns out to have been a stupid decision however, as regularly in Spring, the reception are is flooded by the river's high waters. Something that the whole town of Prague has to put up with.

On the Otherside of the River Moldau is the quarter of Karlin. Currently only connected by two seperate commuter lines. One is expanding outwards into the suburbs, where as the other is going to Zizkov, where commuter have the connection to the Central Station.

Pruhonice Line end

At Pruhonice, the one of the commuter lines ends. That is the station you can see on the right. On the left is a small "Belt"-line heading off towards to other villages. as this is quite a low volume route, it is operated by our sister company, but the station is under our control. Here as well, plans exist to combine the two stations, but in the short term, a bus feeder will be set up, until our planners are coming up with a good solution.

Barrandov and Valley

At Barrandov, the commuter line is crossing the valley in two nice large viaducts. Downhill trough the valley are the freight tracks which are quite busy with iron ore trains. Those are from the early days, and are hauled by BR01 together with a BR85 as a helper at the back. Also at Barrandov station, a small line is branching of towards another village nearby.

Freight Valley track and valuables

Further up the the Freight tracks, and the small passenger line from Barrandov is crossing back over. Also, a brand new valuables train can be seen, using V140 in double traktion. A bit overpowered maybe, but for the extra security, it is worth it. We will follow this valuables train now, as the unloading and reloading of the valuables is some quite unique setup.

Branik Bridges

Further down the valley, our line has to cross the river Moldau. This is done in two long nice Iron Girder bridges. the town of Branik itself is currently only connected by the short passenger line outwards to the next village down the river. the line towards Prague is far from finished and will still take years to complete.

Pankrac Freight Viaducts

One of the nicest setups in my network. the Viaducts of the Freight line in Pankrac are going right trought the the middle of the city of Pankrac and Krc. Here again, space is tight, so one track has to be sufficient. With only the Iron Ore and the valuables, we can currently handle it without delays. In Pankrac you can see the bank where the Valuables have to get delivered to. As you can see, there is no space here for any sort of station.

Valuables Terminal

The soluction was found in this valuables terminal just of the freight line. In the first station, the trucks unload their bags from the bank, where the train can pick them up. on the other one, the train delivers his bags first, and the vans will bring those back up to the bank.
One a site note: the electrified tracks are belonging to the first commuter line, towards the top going to Nove Mestro. Alongside the Valuables stations is the international passenger main line heading from the central station towards the further away towns.

That was it for the moment... Hope you have enjoyed it. I certainly had fun taking the pics, as it was my first real TTD session in months. Oooh, it so good to be back 8)

Very nice pictures indeed. There's always so much to look at. A zoomed out view of the network wouldn't be so bad either, I think.

Those pics were fantastic, thanks!
I think the one I liked best was the high bridges in the 'Branik Bridge' pic 8)
